Ananda that's funny and aliantha that shawl is absolutely gorgeous, and inspiring, and no doubt a LONG way from what I'm going to be capable of on my training needles/wheels.

Glad to hear I made a common error, look forward to making many more  and to asking you dumb questions. Yep, I'm facebooked.

And that's quite entertaining about the other division stealing the website your firm created. They do say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. But I'm pretty sure plagiarism is still just theft.

Wow, that totally looks like a Mohawk!! I crocheted a Kindle cozy recently. That's about all I have the patience for with yarn, anymore.

Got lots of writing for my job done yesterday and today. It's actually pretty exciting stuff. :) Still, I wish I could be writing from my imagination more.

I do, particularly if there are any Activator Methods chiropractors where you are vs. the regular hands on chiropractors. But regardless of method used, what a chiropractor does is an extremely different treatment than "rest, pills, surgery, exercises" most back specialists fall back on. If they can treat the cause of the problem, they do so, rather than treat the symptoms.

Thanks for that. I looked at that site and the closest one is rather far- all the way to Gothenburg while we are down near Helsingborg. Maybe there is one local who isn't on that site. I can give the information to my husband and see if he will look into it. Men are very stubborn, but you never know.

So, I have been on workman's comp for a week now. Fell down a flight of stairs and bruised my back, shoulder etc. It's not so bad and that may be due to all the work I have been doing on my back. But truth is............ I am milking it. And loving it. Puttering around the garden, writing, walking. You can not believe how many tomatoes one plant yields!!!!

Soon I will have to go back to work. Next Thursday I expect. The black eye will be gone, all the marks that made me look like a battered woman. But now I have had a taste of freedom and there is a dread at going back. I keep playing it over and over in my head. I can leave now and collect 28,000 a year for life or wait 3 years and collect 40.000 at year for life. Big difference. One I will have to work one I can not work. But there seems to be messages everywhere for me to leave. Every discussion I catch on tv or internet is about living your life's purpose, etc. As Oprah says "messages come to you in whispers, then shouts, then screams" Life is whispering to me right now. what to do, what to do.

These are the days I really miss my mother. She would have understood about life's whispers. (though she never listened to her own whispers)

Well. If it were me, I would consider back problems followed by a fall downstairs as being a little louder than a whisper. ;) I think maybe you've been ignoring the whispers, and so life has started whacking you upside the head with a 2x4. But YMMV.

You can make up that $12K/year with a part-time job.

Okay, I'll stop. Feel free to tell me to shut up.

So sorry about the dread; you've got especially toxic work environment. (though I think any situation of uncertainty and "what am i supposed to do here?" challenges can produce some serious dread)

So sorry about missing your mom.
Amazing to hear "she would have understood"... there is some hope in just you thinking that way about her.

Good heavens! 28,000 dollars a year works out at over 1,500 GBP a month! That's half as much again as my hubby gets after 43 years in the Civil Service and with his little part time job (which he pays tax on) we still don't get 1,500. But we manage. Perhaps the cost of living in the US is more than here in the UK.

saw the PA today. she believes the rash is an allergic
reaction made worse by my feet/ankles swelling so much.

so a topical antibiotic. and i pick up the medical socks
tomorrow. and she switched my pain killer from
hydrocodo to tramadol. in case i was having a reaction to that.

and she is checking my gall bladder tomorrow
with an mri. and tramadol may help with the depression.

In NYC it is very high. My rent is $1500 a month and that is reasonable because I commute in. Most studios go for 1200/month in the ghetto. 28000 will be 1400 a month after taxes. Clearly if I retire early I will have to move. Even at 40,000 I will have to move.

Yes, that is different. Luckily we have paid off our mortgage so at least we own our house. Good luck with making the right choice, Lorin.

Yeah, I am pretty well getting whacked upside the head these days. My actions are all fear based and that is never good.
Okay, I'll stop. Feel free to tell me to shut up.
I would never ever tell a truth sayer to shut up. Especially a published truth sayer :P

btw - do you like my new av? I took it in santa fe at the fest. Pretty, huh?

lorin, your new av looks wonderful - warm and comforting. And also familiar, it seems to me you used the image you also used earlier on the other one, right?

I intend to keep my current avatar for now, mostly because it has a meaning, well, letters on it) But I like your avatars, and would like one, if you don't mind me either using it from time to time or making an animated one, like MsMary's. Though, knowing myself a bit, I may well end up with several animated ones with the maximum size allowed)
