I agree with you Variol Son! :)

Tamo - it's sort of like the difference between being able to joke about your own family but heaven help anyone else who does! Aussies and Kiwis are family ;) and we share some wicked rivalries in cricket BUT they are the other part of the word ANZACs and few Aussies would deny the close relationship.

Mind you Variol Son, I wish we had a PM that had the guts to join you in signing the ASEAN non-hostility agreement like yours did! :-x

hey Vs i know. it's all in good fun. just like here where we call all those who live in the valleys and cities flatlanders. I forgot what mike said NZrs called him. Anyways where in NZ are you from. And it's very good to see SRD's books go so far. I remember when they first came out. Soem folke thought i was too enthusiastic. Especially a book where the mian character has leprosy. i'm truly amazed at all this. i probably should have checked long ago.

I was born and raised In Invercargill, at the southern end of the South Island. Invercargill has the worlds southermonst McDonalds, and was called "the a***hole of the world" by Mick Jagger when the Rolling Stones toured NZ. At the moment however, Sir Anthony Hopkins is filming a movie there, and he really likes the place, or so they say. :D

I now live in the Garden City; Christchurch. The third biggest city in the country, and one of the faster growing ones. :D

Hi there,

I have followed stuff on this website for quite some time, but I always resisted joining in as I find whenever I do join forums it takes up so much of my time.

However I couldn't resist any longer, so here I am.

I'm English born and bred - just for your info. - and I am ...er..old enough to have been around long before the first chronicles were conceived.

Read the first and second Chronicles as they were being written - agonizing wait for each book - have read them 3 times each now and just finished the Runes of the Earth today.

Good book - i was afraid he might have lost it, but I have been unble to put it down.

I've read Mordants Need twice too - but I just couldnt get oin with the Gap stuff at all.

Other fave author is David Gemmell - if you heven't read his stuff then try it, it's gritty and relaistic - blurs the good/ bad guy line that so many other fantasy books find hard to do.

Anyway - glad to be here.
