I don't know about exnihilo, but as far as I'm concerned, we have been humbled.
Not only at night, but looks like potentially in the rain. I predict it's going to be down and dirty.

Never humbled, I have been busy and unable to devote the proper degree of attention to the sorry state of the state of Louisiana. Then again, I'm in Louisiana right now so I don't need to talk about it as I'm able to live it first hand. Let's just say that I was recently walking down Rampart in New Orleans around sunset, looking for a drugstore, when I came across a FEMA trailer park with 3 people wearing "SECURITY" shirts were shooting the breeze. I interrupted them and asked about the Walgreens, and they stared at me in surprise as though I was either a specter or about to become one rather soon. As I turned around to leave, I noticed a sign advertising a $15K reward for information about the murders of two tourists in this area a couple of weeks before. Being unarmed, I began to feel rather uneasy as I noted with alarm the lengthening shadows and the appraising glances of some of the shadier denizens in the area. Thankfully all turned out well and I was able to remain above the dirt for the time being.
I urge caution to anyone foolish enough to visit the state of Louisiana right now. If you cannot make yourself heavily armed, you should at least seek the company of those that are. Then again, as I heard on the radio that a recent corpse was found to have 3 firearms in its possession, so 4 firearms should be considered the minimum dictated by prudence.

Now I am in no way going to go to bat for the defense of New Orleans...I live 25 miles west of the city (towards Baton Rouge) and am happy to be where I am.
But...there has not been a tourist murdered in this city since 2003. Living here locally, I have never heard about a 'corpse' carrying 3 firearms, though that fact would not surprise me.
The thing about New Orleans, as with other major cities, is that you better know where you area at all times, and be careful not to take a wrong turn down a wrong street, cuz trouble will most likely be waiting there for you.
exnihilo...you're here for the game???
How long are you gonna be around?

Actually, I think he's a Bama fan.
The Vols won the game, 35-14. Now, we need Florida to lose to LSU tonight.

17-7 Gators. A LSU player tried to knock Tebow out of the game a few minutes ago, dove at Tebow's ankles from behind as Tebow was going out of bounds. Tebow quickly responded by looking as if he had been shot out of a cannon while running 8 or 10 yards for a touchdown.

Congrats Jelerak. A great game between two great teams. LSU rushing the ball was just too much in the end. Here's hoping we can make the rematch in the Georgia Dome...
