A client of mine died last night. Nice decent guy. Died right in front of his wife and 10 year old kid. He died at 2am. At 6:30 am my idiot supervisor woke me up and asked me to speak to the family and ask them to move out 8O that the agency needed the apartment.

I hung up on her. Stupid bitch.

I've said this before, Lorin, you are awesome and your job really sucks.

Good God! How utterly callous!

Decided not to go to the Archives today - lots to catch up on and we are away for the weekend with no computer facilities. Will have to resort to a Ruth Rendell book someone has lent me as I've almost finished books 1 & 2 of the Gap series and will have to wait until Monday before I can order the next one!
I am playing all the right notes, but not necessarily in the right order!

Wow lorin. She's lucky she used the telephone and didn't make a house call. I would have forgiven you for doing more than hanging up on her.

That's the wrong kind of governmental efficiency, lorin.

Whatever happened to all the people who used to join in in Gravin Threndor? Pantheon has had so many players, now it seems like the games are down to just the same few...

Also, second offer made. Probably went up by more than I should have.

Although goat says Inferno had quite a few players, I think most of the GT games average five to seven players, generally.

I've managed to come up with 22 names of people who've played Pantheon over the years. And that's with several I can't identify, and others whose characters died or left and were removed from P2/P3 stats.

P1 ended with 12 active deities, P2 ended with 14, P3 has/had 15. But outside of Pantheon it seems like it's mostly the same 5-8 players. Wish we could get some of the enthusiasm back for other games.

I'm not just saying this looking for interest in my own game* (it's on my mind because of it, of course), but most of the current games seem very quiet.

*Though I do currently only have 3 people signed up - come and give it a go! It's meant to be a little less time-intensive than Pantheon.

*nod*

What I meant was, other than Pantheon, pretty much all the other games average between five and seven players. And some have that many because the GM brings in players known to them personally as role players outside of the Watch.

Well, I'm banking on getting at least 5 players for Heart of God. If I don't get any more than that, I might rework things a little to make it a bit more exciting for those few. (Well, I already have one or two tricks up my sleeve on that count.) I'd prefer 7-8, but I'll take what I can get - I hope to give whoever does join a good experience regardless.

And yes, I know going on about it like this might turn more people off than it entices. :P I can't help myself.

lorin, there's hardly anything much I can say, since you stated already that you were going to keep that job, so all the things that came to my mind on what to do to that supervisor are not recommendable... will you accept an Internet hug?

Murrin, I'm in, just thinking on a name, so I haven't announced it in the corresponding thread yet.

Iolanthe, congrats in the Mile thread, here too) :bestwishes:

lorin, you rock. Your boss is a maniac. Not in a good way.

Had a great day teaching. But, I lost a really beautiful silver bracelet my sister gave me this summer. :( It hurts that I know it was within a small area and someone picked it up and will most likely keep it. *sigh*

Just co-signed student loans for my son!! 8O but for him,

I never joined the RPGs because I have no idea what to do. Is there a tutorial somewhere for the completely out-of-it? :D

As someone who had never role played before being convinced to join the second age of Pantheon, I was also totally out of my element. But Xar as AllFather helped a lot, and the grand alliance helped me throughout, from creating cho from scratch to helping me plan actions and story.

Choose a game that interests you and contact others who have expressed interest in playing. If you are considering murrin's game, of those who expressed interest so far, I highly recommend Fist and [syl] as great allies to start. I am sure the others can be as helpful as well, but I have not had all that much experience with them as allies, I believe.

Lorin, wow. That's seriously messed up. Today was super fun for me starting at my new store in my new location. Also my friend's friend brought over a bunch of gorgeous plant starts for me so that I can pot them and plant them in the yard as appropriate. I like coming home to a table full of prezzies.

On the down side, one of the kitties is still having issues adjusting to Moose. No matter how much we ignore her she still insists on hissing and swatting at him for just walking by her. I hope she knocks it off soon.
Now if I could just find a way to wear live bees as jewelry all the time.....

Cats adjust, just takes time. First they hiss, then they sulk, then the they're buds.
