I'm feeling fairly good right now. I get to see Claire tomorrow, work is done for the weekend, and I'm about to go to bed.
Whee!

I'm tired. It's 3am. I cannot get myself to go to bed. I have a strange feeling that if I tried to go to bed, I wouldn't be able to sleep. I hope I'm wrong.

Confused. I keep seeing a man in my lectures who looks like Bloodguard Bob, only ten years older.

I feel as though I am going to pull out someone's liver and feed it to that person. . . as soon as I figure out which lab employee is so profoundly incompetent as to take three business days and counting (plus dozens of phone calls from me AND the pharmacist) to fax a complete blood count to a pharmacy across town so my client can get her medications and NOT go psychotic on us.

I spent the whole day reading while SoS was at kinder. Haven't done that in years. And a bloomin' brilliant book: Tim Winton's Breathe. If he doesn't win the Booker this year I'll go he (or she...or something....).

I feel good but busy. Have a few things left to do before my trip to Albequerque tomorrow. I was a total bum this weekend and got little done.

It's raining nonstop here. We hardly get this so it's very, very beautiful. Cozy, as it were. Tam's doing good-she was exhausted and came home after 4 hours of work yesterday and slept for 4 hours. Working 4 hours again today and has her pre-op tomorrow, then we're going to vote EARLY (which anyone with 1/2 a brain knows they need to do-that way they can't fudge your vote), and then I pick
someone up at the airport at 7, but I keep forgetting who it is...
I swear the ghost of my mother-in-law has invaded my house to watch over her baby girl: first the backdoor is open , last night, and nobody can explain it, then a pack of cigarettes is found somewhere where we both swear we didn't put it, then a light flickers and almost goes out and
then the radiant heat in our new renovation starts working perfectly-after I've spent 2 days straight poring through the manual and almost giving up on how to program it.
She went through a cleansing ritual with a friend early yesterday morning and I don't think she's scared anymore.

I am exhausted and busy. I just finished writing a lesson plan that I teach in an hour. It is so complicated teaching a mixed-grade-level after-school math class! They are at so many different levels (and there are only four of them), and some of them have learned things that others haven't gotten to yet in their regular classes. And they're a younger age group than what I would prefer to teach. But I hope they will all learn a lot today, and maybe have some fun too. Wish me luck!

Well, you're probably already done with the class, Auleliel, but I wish you good luck in any case.

House has been relatively cleaned, laundry done and bedding washed. but more importantly, BAGS ARE PACKED except for last minute morning stuff. E-tickets are printed, ID checked and double checked. Moose care has been rigorously explained and quizzed. Oops forgot to water the plants but I think it can wait until after this post. At this time tomorrow I'll be hanging out with Danlo and Lady Tam. Whoo hoody.
