I've had a schedule change for Wednesday...unfortunate late planning due to a lack of time and funds. I didn't realize how far Grand Canyon actually was so I'll be staying the first days in Arizona and greyhounding back to Albuquerque late on Wednesday night. The bus will be in the main station around 9:30PM. Would it be possible for someone to pick me up from there to join the birthday company? Pretty please with sugar on top?

A friend told me I'll be meeting Amish and "interesting types" in the greyhound line...

I wore wet clothing and shoes every single day during my recent Hebrides trip, but in the desert a wet tank top contest might actually feel refreshing...

I support Sandia as well. The petroglyph monument seemed also very intriguing, but they've closed a major chunk of it due to a trail collapse.

next Friday, the Friday before we leave on the E-Fest road trip is my tenth year anniversary on the Watch.

Thanks for the digits, guys. Due to a weird series of events (which I may detail in GenDisc to keep from derailing the thread here...), I can't get to any of my iCloud contacts, even though I have an iPhone. I can copy them over from the iPad, but I'm hesitant to do that until I am sure our IT department isn't going to have me reboot my phone again.

Not sure where in ABQ the bus station is, but picking you up should be do-able. Dinner will likely be over by then, and I don't know what people will be doing...but we'll figure it out.

Wonderful! The stop is bundled with the local train station (address and map link) in the center of the city. Schedule says the bus'll be there 09:35 PM. I can wear something recognizable agreed on beforehand etc.
(Did you get the text I sent to your number? I'm trying to test everyone's numbers beforehand...)

My thought is that since Io (who has met you) will be part of the dinner party, if she will consent to join me in picking you up, both you and she will have a familiar face for mutual recognition purposes. You will know you are going off with the right buffalo and I'll know I've gather up the right giantess.

I have not received a text, but I did get your PMs with your numbers. I've been remiss in not providing a reply; I know better than that. Will fire off a text to each right away.

I've tried texting a few people now but seemingly without success. Perhaps I can use my phone in the US to ring the UK, but not the other way round. We'll find out when I get to ABQ. I can always message you via FB if I get lost. I'll have to befriend you of course.

I'm having a bit more success. I was able to reach Ali from both numbers, received one text from SD (And responded via the 83-ending number just now, did it work?) but not two, haven't heard from danlo so far. Hmh, this is going to get tricky.

(For recognition purposes, I can also pm a photo where I'm wearing almost the same clothing I'll take with me.)

I, too, did not get a text from Frostheart, although she received mine and successfully voice-called me.

Io and I have confirmed text works in both directions between us. She and I will be at the ABQ bus terminal to meet the 9:30 bus from the Grand Canyon, and I am confident that Io and Frosty will recognize each other.

We should, although it was Christmas when we last met and we were both bundled up in lots of clothing. Also my face has got much thinner than it was last December, my double chins have gone. I am sure I will recognise Frosty though. I'll get my daughter to take a picture on Tuesday and send it then everyone will recognise me.
