I have been sick as a dog for three weeks. seeing the doc tomorrow, guessing Respiratory infection.

and I have topics I want to post. like the upcoming DC movie Suicide Squad. or the DC tv show with Flash leading a team.

or that we saw the Puddles Pity Party live this week.

Get well soon.

I've only just begun a course of antibiotics (Amoxicillin + Clarithromycin) for a tummy bug.
I had a persistent heartburn for around two years before I decided to visit the doc. He suggested the symptoms could be cancer, however, as I'm gaining weight rather than losing it then that was probably not the case, although, I should still get it checked out all the same.

The tests came back positive for an unhealthy bacteria - which I've forgotten the name of already.
I told the doc it was very disconcerting knowing there's a nasty bug living inside me. He reassured me there are lots of bugs living inside me - keeping me healthy; on my skin, the tongue, the ears, nose, throat - and I guess the respiratory system as well.

stay lucky, dude

IIRC, there's more bacterial cells in our body than human ones. :D

Vizidor - had gone back to work for two days. but between the humidity and the cold of the vaults I am worse off than before. so the doc gave me an even stronger cough medication to combat this.

Visidor, I had bad heartburn and reflux for nigh on 40 years (started when pregnant with my first child), weight gain and bloating more recently, until last summer when I decided to diet. First thing I did was give up bread (shop bought) and the heartburn etc. completely disappeared and hasn't come back! I managed to lose 2 stone fairly easily. Bought a breadmaker and now no problems. Just a suggestion - may not work for you.

My course is done.
Man, do I enjoy antibiotics.
Sadly, feeling this healthy it seems was never meant to last. <sigh>

Cheap bread will give me heartburn every time.
As I'm sure you know, if you squash cheap bread in the fist, on opening the hand there'll be a ball of dough left in the palm. Good bread should unfold back into shape every time. Unfortunately we aren't allowed to make that test in supermarkets.
A bread machine sounds like a good idea.
The Co-Op here in town has a really great selection of breads. (No heartburn). Even dedicated bakeries can't compare.

Most ground coffee's I've tried will also give me heartburn. And as I enjoy a morning cup I'll often gamble on the after-burn.
I recently discovered that the Oxfam book shop also sells really good ground coffee, and with no after-burn whatsoever.

Thanks Mensy (? Menny? Mee? Marge?). Don't think you're in danger of my lapping you any time soon, however.

As danlo said when he picked me up at the airport for the first 'fest, "I was going to hold up a sign which said, 'Men,' but realized I may be approached by others with an incorrect idea."

That said, I'm not adverse to being called Men.
