In any case, this is exactly why I made my suggestion, Bhakti. Your people would never have to come into contact with Nor Yekith's, if trade was conducted through means of a third party.
Indeed. My apologies. Yek's having exploded his Houka in my lands, which brought the plague to my people, got me a bit off-kilter. He wants "trading rights with every city," and I was thinking you were saying I should consider it. I clearly read too much into your words.

But I wasn't seriously calling you "mad." That was along the lines of. "What? I think we have a bad connection. You wouldn't believe what I thought you just said!" :D

For the last time, I did not send the plague into your lands!

Nor Yekith wrote:Are you so forgetful? You were going to return them to me, but you were so paranoid about me setting up a trap I did not want to deal with you. I said you can have them, at which point you said you would care for them. If you don't believe me, talk to the holy scribes who record our meetings. You'll find in the scrolls the history of our public discussions.
None of this is in dispute. But you attempt to mislead:
Nor Yekith wrote:And please, one more accusation that I sent the plague into your lands and I will strike you. I have said again and again the plague is not my creation and that a cult of demons is taking control of my houka across the world. I am conducting an inquisition to find these demon worshippers.
Nor Yekith wrote:I repeat that I did not release the plague. I repeat that a cult of demons have started to take control of my Houka. By the Oath of the All Father, I had one of the arms of my cult conduct an inquisition to rid my lands of them.

And I repeat emphatically: I did not create the plague. Recall that it devastated my lands.
Some of your Houka may, indeed, have been taken over by demons, but those in my lands because of your invasion, both those I captured and those that were still running loose, were still under your control. And though you may not have created the plague, you exploded the Houka (your admission to this is also a matter of public record), which is what infected my people.

Try swearing by your Oath of the All Father that anything I have said is inaccurate.

Jove,
I am willing to enter into agreements with you over trade. If you are willing to ratify the trade deals then we will both profit. I am also ordering my cultists to build a trade center at the docks of Nor Leviathan. There you can have a guild representing you.

Bhakti, I will mutate the plague and rid your lands of it, the way I healed my lands. Will that suffice, or do you require me to hug my trees and say beautiful and happy the world is?

I also am willing to enter into trade agreements with you. Let us hammer out an agreement that will suit us both.

I greatly appreciate the trade center.

I am working on developing a NEUTRAL trading guild made up of my followers to be located at each port. The guild members will be required by law in the books of Hedra Iren to be fair in all trades. In that way I hope that all gods will welcome them and trust them to deal fairly with all commerce and taxation, if necessary. (Thank you Maeror).

You will have a trading guild in Nor Leviathan, my sister.

Let this, and my willingness to fight the plague in Landiir, be a sign of Nor Yekith's goodwill and growing need to establish peace in the world.

PLEASE do not touch my Trees! Don't even JOKE about touching my Trees! They shudder at the thought!

'k? :D

As for your offer... Were only my followers involved, I would assume you would mutate the plague into something even more horrifying than it already is. But since Norn's, Jove's, Tsaloga's, and Mithyaat Vam's followers will very likely also be effected by what you do, I am willing to assume you actually will do, or at least attempt to do, what you are offering. If they have no problem with letting you take care of this mess, I will have no problem not expending even more Power on it.

Ladies? (Hey, how 'bout that! I'm surrounded by women! :D) I am not aware of Yek having ever acted against any of you, or even threatening to. Does anyone have a problem letting him take care of the plague on Landir and Kortral in the way he is offering to?

I have no problem in theory with accepting such aid from Nor Yekith. However, will this mean that the plague is eradicated from Landir, leaving all people, animals, vegetation and landscape intact?

Obviously, the first is a MUCH better offer than the second. I would not want my lands healed the way he healed his own, after all. Yek?

The two may not be so different in Nor Yekith's eyes my brother.

While I do not fear that Nor Yekith would do other than his word and act against us, I think that we gods on Landir should stand on our own feet on this one.

I would like to have the plague eradicated as much as anyone. However, I think that we are capable of supplying our own cure. After all, Bhatki, cures come from plants. I'm sure that with your lore of the forests and my library, we can discover our own cure.

Plagues will come and go. It is the natural order of things. Plagues usually come every generation. Are we to burden Nor Yekith every time plague hits? I think that would be too much to ask of Nor Yektih.

It is not necessary to burden Nor Yekith with our problems. I would like all Pantheon to know that we are equal to the task of curing our own plague.

I appreciate your generosity, Great Nor, but we should not trouble you with our own problems on Landir. I'm sure that you have your hands full with your own lands and followers. Thank you for the offer. I cannot tell you of my deep appreciation of your concern for our people but it would be too much to ask.

Under normal circumstances, I agree, my Heart. However, this plague came to Landir and Kortral when, as a wedding present to us, Yek exploded his plague-carrying followers in my lands. I don't think it's out of line for him to expend power mopping up. By some stroke of luck, none of the actual explosions occurred when my people were present. They became infected when they investigated the noises. I had hoped that it wouldn't spread so damned quickly! I had hoped Maeror's immediate use of my DRP's would take care of it. I have no problem with Yek using some of his DRP's to help.

Personally, I would feel safer if he did it by sending DRP's to Maeror, if Maeror is still willing.

Hail Bretheren.

I think that Bhakti's solution is the wisest course. Let the God of Healing work on removing the scourge of Plague, and let any who will aid it's cure allocate their DRP to Maeror that the effort may be concentrated for the good of all. *bows*

My offer of assistance still remains. If the gods of Landiir require my help, all they have to do is say so.

Melirelle

The Fallen's essence is now mine. He was a weakling, to succumb to the youngest of the gods, but succumb he did, and now I claim his portfolio. He was a threat to the world of Eiran and he would have soon summoned his fiends to wreak whatever unholy vengeance his demented mind thought he had a right to invoke, and I stopped him before this could happen.

My children will make sure that others like him do not rise from the mortals of Eiran, and I will make sure that those who do don't survive enough to wreak the same havoc that The Fallen's previous incarnation brought upon the world.

I believe that I have the situation under control. It was my own error that allowed the plague to continue unchecked in Kortral, and so I will act to rectify it.
Any further aid is welcome, of course--you can never tell how these things will go.

Excellent work, Melirelle. Perhaps this also means the end of the demons who steal and pervert my Houka.

If at least one DRP is not used to ensure that the isolated pockets of plague deep within Shakari are eradicated, it will, once again, diffuse at "an alarming rate." In addition, some (the Healer would obviously know how many better than I) are needed in Kortral; both to stop the plague's reintroduction to Landir and spread to Magran (According to the Allfather, Magran is an important trade hub. If the plague gets there, I suspect it will soon be on all continents!), and to allow Mithyaat Vam's followers to surpass 500 in the very near future. We do have a Godslayer among us, after all.

Healer, you should not have to use your own DRP's for this. Like all of us, you have your own matters that require your Power. (Although, as I said, the threat the plague's introduction to Magran represents is potentially worldwide.) And you are not remotely responsible for all of this. If Yek - as "a sign of his goodwill and growing need to establish peace in the world" ;) - does not swear an Oath of the All Father to allocate Power to you to be used for this (Norn points out the possible drawbacks of Yek's proposed solution. Landir's and Kortral's people being turned into Worms is not my idea of a good solution. :D), I, of course, will have no choice but to use yet more of my own.

Yek, this is a good chance for you. If I must use my Power on the plague that your exploding Houka gave me, I will not be able to put out Fires, search for severed demon hands running amok in my lands, find the unidentified creatures that are assuming the guise of my followers and slaughtering my actual followers, among other problems.

I agree with Vadhaka. Bhakti's solution is the wisest.

Nor, I would ask that you expend a DRP or two to the God of Healing to eradicate the plague.

That way, you can have the satisfaction knowing you have helped your fellow dieties and we can benefit from your power.

Done. But I will not swear any oath until I have assurance that you and your partner are willing to enter into a non-aggression pact with me. Once you promise me this, I will invoke the oath.
