Me too, it was bad enough when my husband let my birthday come and go without so much as a word,(we divorced not too long after that) I think I'd have fallen apart if my mother had forgotten.

My mother giving me diet plans and the like. Very subtle, thanks. Particularly nice when I'm already on an emotional low from finishing with my girlfriend because she only had eyes for our mutual housemate.

Thanks mum. Appreciated.

Anyway, it qualifies as a pet peeve rather than a one-off because she's always dropping hints about me being overweight, and has been doing so for at least ten years.

Sorry to hear about the girlfriend troubles. . . but if it's any consolation about your mother's comments, I think you look great the way you are. ;)

Around here, news stations lead with the latest local sleeze/crime/accident story.

What ever happened to national and international news??

unless it is a huge story it has to wait for weather and local murder.

I have two: :soapbox:

Bosses who get cranky because the auditors are here. :whip:

and

Auditors who think you live only to serve them. :Hail:

UGH!

Oh, auditors, please let me stop what I am doing and find the last five invoices of the old year and the first five invoices of the new year. Oh yes, every deposit we have ever made and cash summaries for farden everybody!
:hithead:

The whole thing makes me want to throw up!

That sucks first. Glad you got rid of the bonehead!

My PPs?

1) Bending down to pick something up...and missing (especially on a hot day).

2) When people pronounce "Milk" to sound like "Melk"

I have many, MANY more.

I hate it when people are mad at me and won't tell me why, and think that I should be able to read their minds to figure it out. Especially when I find out later that they were mad about an accumulation of little things and didn't so much as let me know that I was bothering them so I could stop before the explosion.
