Ghost King is the first of his Arthurian Romano-British series, followed IIRC, by
Last Sword of Power.
Aaaaaah yes, I remember the Arthurian bits now. And I think it was yet another book that needlessly ties in with Sipstrassi stones. Oh well.

I just picked up Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.
I feel like I've been waiting for this book my entire life.

Officially, it was the first "Stones of Power" book, although they'd been touched on in
Wolf in Shadow written a year earlier.

I just got done reading this two book series.
The Innocent Mage
The Awakened Mage
www.amazon.com/Innocent-Mage-Kingmaker- ... 0316067806
These were light reading and fun reads but there was a fairly predictable storyline and plot. If you got these used from ebay or amazon I would suggest them for some light and fun reading. But at the price of books today these arent worth the full price.

My roomate got that for his birthday, I'm going to have to hijack it...
I managed to find I, Robot in hardcover at my "local" half-priced bookstore, so I'm pretty ecstatic right now...

An online female friend told me today that she bought that book, but is ready to "abandon ship" as early as page 30.
What's your take on it so far?

Actually, I've been on an Erickson kick so I haven't started yet. I'll dig in tonight and I plan on getting through it fairly quick. I'll let you know my opinion on it as soon as I have one on it.
Also, perhaps worthy of note, I haven't read Pride and Prejudice. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing.

Nor have I, but I strongly suspect that it is a good thing, whether or not I ever read Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.

Damn. I just picked up Toll The Hounds today for a bargain. The only drawback is that, although I have books 1-4, I don't have books 5-7. In fact, I've never seen them here.

silly...
Talk to a librarian about
their version of
ILLiad. I've requested books and have received them from university and public libraries as far away as Virginia.
You are
not limited to only your local library system, as long as they have interlibrary loan implemented...

I'm going to go buy House of Chains today.
I already have A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin, and I'm thinking of starting that one...

You support your local book store and BUY them, silly!
So, I said I would, but I haven't started P&P&Z yet. I realized that I have Pride and Prejudice, so I decided I should read that one first. So I'm chugging along on that one.
But I *ALSO* picked up Darwin's Voyage of the Beagle, and that's slowly taking over all my reading time... P&P&Z is kinda on the back burner now, I guess :-/

Could be worse. The books I'm waiting to read haven't been finished yet. I imagine whatever's after
Toll the Hounds will be the next one I read, as
Against All Things Ending isn't due out for a year, and who the hell knows when
Dances With Dragons will get done. Right now, I'm reading a bunch of R. A. Salvatore stuff my brother lent me to pass the time.

I picked that up too for Kindle, after reading your earlier post about it. I must say after about a chapter and a half in that it is very good. Darwin writes in a conversational, yet informative style. I'll have to post that passage about the runaway slaves near Rio who lived on the hilltop when I get a chance.

The next Erickson volume is due next month, I think.
Amazon.co.uk sent me an e-mail encouraging me to preorder "Dances with Dragons". They're so funny! Like I'd tie up my cash on a book Martin may never finish writing.... (I guess they don't actually take your money 'til they ship the book. But still. I'm not gonna order from them in any case -- I assume it'll be released concurrently in the US and UK. Assuming it's ever released at all. Sigh.)
