Probably not. Most men think they are sexy. Only a woman's opinion truly defines whether this is true or not.

Most men *are* sexy. It's only that a woman's opinion needs time to come around.

Dolph?

Post by DirectorDios »

Help me ... I cannot pick which one would be the better Dolph Ubikwe:

Of the two choices given, I would have to pick Charles S Dutton if only for the baritone nature of his voice...if you recall, Dolph had a voice that could, "strip paint at twenty paces" and Forest W. voice just doesn't have that quality. I have always pictured either James Earl Jones as Dolph, or sometimes Yaphet Kotto.

How about this dude instead? (for those who don't know, it's Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje from "Lost")

Image

(I think the guys you chose look too 'happy' to be Dolph - they don't look 'hardcore' enough, Wayfriend! I like your choices, DD, but I think they are both too old now...)

Did you picture Dolph as 'heftier', Cjr? I figured him to be 'large' but not in teh chubby way...

Do you think Angus called him "fat man" because he had an obscure sense of humor? Dolph is large.

From Chaos and Order, page 17:
He was a large man - almost too large to pass the UMCP physicals - with a heavy mass of muscle hidden under his FAT

Knowing Donaldson, I would say that Ubikwe is meant to suggest Ubiquitous. Which, of course, means "existing or being everywhere at the same time", which means "constantly encountered", which means "widespread", which means "FAT".

So where were we ... oh yes ...

Image
Forest Whitaker ?

or Charles S Dutton[/quote] ?

I'm still a bit iffy - those two guys just look too...NON menacing...they got 'happy faces', not an "i'm gonna rip off your head and sh*t down your neck" look about them.

Dolph was so NOT a teddy-bear type. Still thinking Ving Rhames works better.

I like that choice a lot. I also think Michael Duncan-Clarke would be a good choice....
