Since I am playing Dark Ages in GT, I know of WoD (World of Darkness). It is the company who puts out the rulebooks for the Vampire, Mage, Werewolf, and other such games. WoD is World of Darkness, the world created by White Wolf Publishing company in which Vampire the Requiem, Werewolf the Forsaken etc. are hosted.
GW: Games Workshop, the company that owns Warhammer and Warhammer 40k amongst other things, and if you've ever played there games then also your soul.

I am an old SCIENCE fiction fan.
I read my first sci-fi book in the 60s and have been hooked since. I was building and launching rockets back then and soldered together my first computer in 1978.
So spells and magic and vampires aren't really my thing. I have read two Harry Potter books just to try and understand what the big deal was about. I don't get it. LOL
Been wading thru the public domain sci-fi lately though.
I found this very curious.

Oh no, sci-fi is magic! Run for your lives.

I didn't get into the Harry Potter books until the third one, truth be told. What made me read the third book after the first two left me kinda cold is still a mystery, but I'm glad I did. Then again, I felt it was more fun having to wait for the next books - the anticipation was what drew me in. Just wanted to say hello (encouraged slightly as well by the rules). How I came here, googling Rogue Trader PbP forums. Afterwards I realized this forum was dealing with Covenants novels. I read those novels so long ago and I enjoyed them a lot.
Maybe it was because it was after the Tolkien Silmarillon phase (aka I Tolkien love to ruin all characters).

Stopping in to say 'Hello' and share the communal excitement as it rises to October.
Over the many years since Stephen R. released his first Covenant book I've encouraged all who've shown potential interest to experience the Land. Indeed, I've had to re-purchase The Chronicles quite a few times to replace my well donated copies.
My last donation was to a very good friend who, sadly, moved far away. He recently contacted me with news that Stephen R. had already released two books of Covenant's continuing saga. No doubt Mr. Donaldson could easily create a new word that would aptly encompass the myriad emotions that instantly blossomed.
Thank you Stephen R. and thank you Wes.
