Slightly burned out. NaNoWriMo ends tomorrow night at midnight. I am about 2,200 words short of 50,000; I've written about 6,500 words today. I could push on through tonight, but my eyes were starting to cross, so I came here instead....

Wow, nobody cared? Okay, fine then: I won. Total final word count: 53,654.

I'll probably add an epilogue or a final chapter or something. And of course it's still a big ol' stinkin' pile of first-draft poop. But hey, I got the certificate, man. 8)

The worst part is that I spent so much time writing this weekend that I don't even feel like I had four days off.

OTOH, now I can go do laundry....

Ali, that's awesome! Very nice work.
As one who "there is no way I could put that out" I'm amazed.

That's awesome Ali! Thanks for taking time out to yammer with me over the weekend. I needed it just as I needed my yammering time with Lucimay. We just got back from laundry and blts. Moose got to meet a few new friends and it was good to just kick back and talk. Now it's back to jury duty tomorrow. Ugh.

Congrats Aliantha! Hats off to you! I wrote nothing (mumble, mumble). Well, I was writing something, but nothing for NaNo. Maybe next year. I've got a lot of things penciled in for next year!!

Oh and Congrats Caggy and Carla!! :D

Here the weather is crazy (start of summer and it may as well be the middle of winter: raining, cold...but who's complaining as this time last year we were in drought).

I'm currently busy with end of year stuff including all of SoS's school orientation stuff (he starts school at the end of January! Hard to believe!).

Time flies......

Feeling hopeful. Jos is very, very quiet and the expatriates are already organizing relief efforts.

Glad to hear that. I was worried about you for a while there.

DotD: Keeping my fingers crossed for continued quiet for you....

Everybody else: Thanks, guys! :) Sea, I still wouldn't have a single word written if Batty hadn't pestered me into signing up for NaNo. Then she and her girlfriend gave up about halfway through the month. I can't tell you how much pleasure it gave me to send them an e-mail when I pulled ahead of them both in word count (the subject line: "AHAHA!!!").

Congratulations to Caggie and his blushing bride! Also hearty congratulations to Ali for doing something I likely will never do. And a Waddley sighting too. . . busy weekend! ;)

I just finished my final art class, and my instructor seemed very positive that I could sell my pieces if I wanted to.

Wow, Lyr! Congrats. That is awesome. I can't even stay inside the lines when I color. But my step-daughter is very good at drawing so she balances out the house. :D

Very cool, Lyr. How about posting some pictures of your work? :)

I taught my last lesson to my first and second grade math students, and we had a blast. I'm really going to miss those kids...
