I still prefer the term "dozy bint."

I feel relief and happiness today.
The tests came back about the baby, and no problems spotted so far. The amnio test is done and the results show nothing in what they were testing for. So, it is time for me to announce what we found out on Tuesday. We are having a...

(drumroll)

...baby boy.

I wanted a girl, but I had a strange flash after being told that Carla was pregnant that it would be a boy. Weird that it turned out accurate, but then again, I had a 50% chance of being right. I'm excited though, and I will be very happy with a boy. My mom told me that boys are easier anyway, and I reminded her that I am just special (I have two older sisters). This is going to totally change my living dynamic though, as I have never lived in a situation where the boys outnumber the girls. At best, it has been a tie.

Congrats, Cag and Carla. I hope the rest of the pregnancy goes well.

I have an icky cold and have been coughing non-stop for almost two days. At least I'm mostly done with schoolwork for this semester (one exam left, then I'm done) so I can take the time to try to take care of myself and catch up on my sleep.

Yay, a boy! :bwave: But of course the most important thing is that it's healthy, and hooray for that news, too!

Oh yeah -- "dozy bint" it is.

I'm home, and looking in despair at all the unpacking and cleaning and whatnot we have to do. Luckily, my priorities are right and I've spent the last two days sorting out my connection. (Which necessitated a bit of rearranging the house.) Things lie in piles everywhere you look, but at least I'm online. ;)

Congratulations, Cag and Carla! :D

I want to play hooky from work, but don't have a choice today since there's so much to do. Only 2 more hours, though, so I will make it.

I've been running a 102.5ºF the past couple of days, and even had a feverish dream about spiders crawling all over me as I slept last night. It went down to around 100.1º during the day today, but I feel like it is starting to climb back up again.

So, shock of shocks, I'm going to sign off the Watch, and shut down the computer four hours earlier than normal...

I accidentally slept through my final final exam for the semester. I am relieved (and lucky) that my prof let me take it later, no penalty.

Looks like the due date has been upgraded to May 8th.

Feel better soon, Menolly!

Auleliel, good to hear that your prof won't penalize you. Magickmaker got slammed this fall with massive headaches and missed a bunch of class time, and so she's taking incompletes in two classes. Which means her January term won't be quite as carefree as it would be otherwise. But at least her GPA won't tank. And while she's home for the holidays, we are going to try to get to the bottom of this headache thing, once and for all.

Wine.

...and heh...who gave me this new avatar (or maybe....)

Wine is bad. ...so is eating a whole lot of strasburg thinking that will stop you from feeling tardy in the morning.

After being on call all week, I got summoned into jury duty on my day off. :?

Also a little worried because the company I work for just announced that they will be closing 10% of their locations within the next three months. Probably not mine, but still not good news.

One day before graduation, and my GPA jumped from 3.7 to 3.8... English language fails to encapsulate my happiness!

And you ARE walking the stage in cap and gown to be handed your diploma, right, LF?

Congratulations!!!

*wishing I could drive up to Rome to witness that, but it's like 12 hours away*

Oh happy day...
