I feel awake! Temp just dropped 7 degrees in 5 minutes it's all gray with very watery sleet coming down at a very southern angle. Talking to a friend on IM and being very happy being alive. Watched Fargo last night-forgot how dam gory that movie is.
edit: now it's a full fledged windy snow storm!!!!!!

What sort of library is it?
The local public library. I've been going there since I was a kid (my Dad worked there for years) so three of the four hiring board members recognized me from my childhood. I start after the holidays!

Wiped out. 2 days hard climbing in a row...sore hands, sore fingers, sore knee, sore toes.

Feels good to get out though.

I feel annoyed. We're supposed to have bad weather tonight, but that's the problem. If our office is officially closed due to bad weather, then I have to take a vacation day. Yep. . . they don't even let you take a day off without pay. Supposedly you can work to make the day up before the end of the week, but I don't relish putting in several extra hours each day just to make up for the weather. On the other hand, if the streets are yucky and we don't officially close the office I can opt to not come in. . . but I have to use a vacation day. And our office is terrible about not closing when they should.

Either way, in case of bad weather I am just screwed. Two years ago I lost 2 vacation days to a ice storm.
Anyhow, I am fervently wishing that the predicted freezing ice/sleet/snow thing doesn't materialize.

It feels good to have power again. We lost power because of the big New England ice storm at 9 pm Thursday night and didn't get it back until 7 pm Sunday night. With a 2 year old and it being 8 degrees it was TORTURE.
But now we're warm and happy and I'm back on the internet like whut.

I feel for you. My head hurts trying to understand that vacation system you have.
Looks like winter isn't being kind to a number of us here. Windchill warning is still in effect and probably will be for the next few days. Not looking forward to my morning walk to work.

Congrats on the new job, Balon!
Av -- don't let that sunburn fade yet, it's two more weeks to Christmas!
The rest of y'all are making me cold. Hmmph. I walked out a little while ago -- it's, like, 60 degrees out there, and the sun had peeked out. I almost didn't come back to work.... We'll get our due tomorrow, when the chilly rain is supposed to make its reappearance, and overstay its welcome for the rest of the week....

I feel irritated. I have this customer who is married with three kids and he has still been asking me out and trying to get me to have an affair with him for over a year. He brought the 528i in today on the hook because the engine compartment was steaming. I'm leaning in the driver's door to get the mileage as I write it up and he frigging full court presses up against me saying he needs to pop the hood so he can show me where the steam was coming from. Ugh. I'm like "Hey!" and he's all like, "Sorry, sorry." but he sooooo was NOT. His bill just went up.

I forsee a wrench "accidentally" left in his engine.

More like a larger hole in his wallet.

The car is an innocent bystander.

It went from being in the 50's yesterday afternoon to 6 this morning. The car door froze overnight and I had to tug on it 4 or 5 times to get it to open. It snowed, but it was over by the time I had to get to work. Being so cold, it was the powdery kind of snow anyway so it was not too tough this morning.
Jenn, I bet he wanted to show you where the steam was coming from.
It'll be coming from his ears when he sees the bill is marked up.

And if he doesn't start going to another garage after that, you'll know what he's *really* after.

I've just returned from SoS's Christmas breakup concert. Kids are cute! But after SoS had a plastic placard shoved in his eye he wasn't too happy and I had to sit next to him and encourage his participation in the concert. Sad, since he was having a great time before that happened.
So he's now officially finished kindergarten and is off to school late January next year. Time flies!
I've posted two pics in the album of the concert. And Luci check out the tshirt SoS's wearing (I can't get him out of it! If he had his choice he'd wear it every day!).

Cold. Damn cold. (Though Malik's homebrew helped warm me up

).
Like Damelon, upthread, we've had quite a temprature change in the last 24 hours. Mid 30's yesterday, high of 7 today, and now it's -2 with a wind chill of -30. Why the hell do I live here again?
Ah, well, the bed (where I'll be heading soon) is nice and warm.
Oh, and my son almost broke his nose today doing an unintentional somerault down a flight of stairs. Kids, I tell ya.....
