Cameraman Jenn wrote:It's gonna vary. I would pack jeans and t-shirts and a light jacket and a heavy sweater or sweatshirt. The evenings can be chilly especially if it gets windy. SF is perched between a massive bay and the ocean so the water cooled air can get very chilly when it picks up. Also I would pack some hair ties or something to pull your hair back out of your face for the windy moments. Especially if we do any wharf sightseeing.
Thanks. . . this is exactly what I wanted to know. :)

Understood.
Lucimay wrote:the key is layering. sweater weather. there is no summer and winter here. only spring and fall.
This sounds delightful. . . fall is my favorite season, and we're already forcasted to have 90 degree weather next week. :P

Luci is right. Layering is the way to go.

He sounds exasperated...don't ya all think! ;)
I'm starting to be...

Nah, I just need to recognize I'm not a planner.

It's okay, Cag, truly. Judging by past experience with this bunch, I can tell you that everybody talks ahead of time about how much they'd like to do lots of cool stuff during the weekend...and then we get there, and basically spend the weekend eating, drinking and talking. And then we post about all the eating, drinking and talking. Practically in real time.

So let's do this: Let's meet at Cag's on Friday evening. We can figure out plans for Saturday and Sunday then. Those who want to go clubbing Friday night can go. Those who don't want to go can stay at Cag's -- or, if Cag and Carla are going clubbing, the not-clubbers can go to the campsite.

Does that work?

So basically, everyone talks a big game beforehand about plans; then when it's time, everyone talks a big game. ;)

Your twin is the one who is excellent at that. :)
But I think what you have done so far is superb.
Especially since Thelma and Louise want to be spontaneous at times.

Just noticed that on the 22nd, which is the Sunday, David Sederis will be in town and doing an appearance at a bookstore here. Just thought I'd throw that out there. I'm a fan. I saw him last time he was in town, and he makes me laugh. Just bought his new book on audio, and am loving it.

What time, cag? I know some are leaving mid-morning, and others mid-afternoon, on Sunday. Would it interfere with getting those who need a lift to the airport out there?

some suggested road music....

Get your motor running
Head out on the highway
Looking for adventure
In whatever comes our way

Yeah, darling
Gonna make it happen
Take the world in a love embrace
Fire all of your guns at once and
Explode into space

I like smoke and lightning
Heavy metal thunder
Racing in the wind
And the feeling that I'm under

Yeah, darling
Gonna make it happen
Take the world in a love embrace
Fire all of your guns at once and
Explode into space

Like a true nature child
We were born
Born to be wild
We have climbed so high
Never want to die
Born to be wild
Born to be wild

Wild thing...you make my heart sing...
You make everything
Groovy
I said wild thing...

Wild thing, I think I love you
But I wanna know for sure
Come on, hold me tight
I love you

Wild thing...you make my heart sing...
You make everything
Groovy
I said wild thing...

Wild thing, I think you move me
But I wanna know for sure
So come on, hold me tight
You move me

Oh Im on my way, I know I am, somewhere not so far
From here
All I know is all I feel right now, I feel the power growing
In my hair
Sitting on my own not by myself, everybodys here with me
I dont need to touch your face to know, and I dont need to
Use my eyes to see
I keep on wondering if I sleep too long, will I always wake
Up the same (or so)?
And keep on wondering if I sleep too long, will I even wake up
Again or something
Oh Im on my way I know I am, but times there were when
I thought not
Bleeding half my soul in bad company, I thank the moon i
Had the strength to stop
Im not making love to anyones wishes, only for that light I see
cause when Im dead and lowered low in my grave, thats gonna
Be the only thing thats left of me
And if I make it to the waterside, will I even find me a boat
(or so)?
And if I make it to the waterside, Ill be sure to write you
Note or something
Oh Im on my way, I know I am, somewhere not so far
From here
All I know is all I feel right now, I feel the power growing
In my hair
Oh life is like a maze of doors and they all open from the
Side youre on
Just keep on pushing hard boy, try as you may
Youre going to wind up where you started from
Youre going to wind up where you started from

I've been drivin' all night, my hand's wet on the wheel
There's a voice in my head that drives my heel
It's my baby callin', says I need you here
And it's a half past four and I'm shiftin' gear
When she is lonely and the longing gets too much
She sends a cable comin' in from above
Don't need no phone at all
We've got a thing that's called Radar Love
We've got a wave in the air, Radar Love
The radio is playing some forgotten song
Brenda Lee's comin' on strong
The road has got me hypnotized
And I'm speedin' into a new sunrise
When I get lonely and I'm sure I've had enough
She sents her comfort comin' in from above
We don't need no letter at all
We've got a thing that's called Radar Love
We've got a light in the sky
(Instrumental break)
No more speed, I'm almost there
Gotta keep cool now, gotta take care
Last car to pass, here I go
And the line of cars drove down real slow
And the radio played that forgotten song
Brenda Lee's comin' on strong
And the newsman sang his same song
Oh one more radar lover gone
When I get lonely and I'm sure I've had enough
She sents her comfort comin' in from above
We don't need no letter at all
We've got a thing that's called Radar Love
We've got a light in the sky
We've got a thing that's called Radar Love
We've got a thing that's called Radar Love

and by the way...why wasn't this in LotR???
