Well, I've just spent an hour or so trawling through this whole topic. It reminded me of so many things I'd forgotten, and brought back the feeling of various moments - sitting on Cag's porch, eating at the bagel place, fetching apple juice from Jenn's fridge, sleeping in an airport...
I have to get over there again at some point. Definitely.
You know, it wasn't until this re-read of the topic that I realised how different Seafest was from anything else I've done.

Me too!
I've been thinking about Seafest lately too, since I'm finally going to get around to doing a scrapbook on it. (I was waiting for Jenn to send a CD with the pictures, and eventually just forgot.) I'll bring it when we all get together again.

I didn't either. I am still waiting for my book back as well. My birthday is July 30th. That would be a nice time to receive it since the anniversary date was missed.

that plan is already in effect. mailing this week to arrive for your birdday, most patient one.
i thank you once again for hosting such a good time at your pad and hope the small tokens included in said imminently arriving package will ever remind you of the fun we had there.

No, she didn't, which is why I forgot about the project. I'm going to forge ahead with my and Magickmaker's pics, and shots I scrounged from here at the Watch. It'll be fine.

While re-reading the thread, I noticed this:

Remind me to nominate this for a Watchie next year...

Hurray!
Oh, and Danlo...it's also Kate Bush's, Arnold Schwarzenegger's, Jean Reno's, Lisa Kudrow's, Vivica Fox's and Rat Scabies' birthday as well, to name a few.

So after perusing all the pictures I have been able to scrounge, the only key photo I appear to be missing is the one of Magickmaker attempting to kick CovJr in the head.
Oh, and I could use a couple more pics from the pool, if any there be.
If one of you has either/any of these, please pm me. Thenk yew.

ok, can you oldies but goodies help a newbie out?
what is the difference between the Elohimfest and the Seafest?
how long do these festivals run?
where do they hold them?
how many have there been?

Elohimfest has been held in Albq. in '04 and '07 they were based out of my house and each featured a dinner with Stephen R. Donaldson-each lasted about 3 or 4 days. Seafest celebrated Seareach coming to the US from Australia and Covenant Jr. coming from Wales visiting Watchers in San Francisco, Denver and a few other places-it featured Luci and Sea in a famous Thelma & Louise run.

Then smaller gatherings, like the one in DC a couple of years back are also referred to as 'fests. I think if it is several days long, it is still an elohimfest, even if SRD is not present, whereas the day long meets such as the two some of the Florida Watchers had at the Chr-stmas house and at aTOMiC's and dANdeLION's gig in Tampa, or when Fist and Faith and I met Xar in NYC (although I spent a couple of days with Xar, both of us having traveled so far, compared to Fist for that 'fest) would be referred to as a mini-fest.
Then there's the one-on-one meets, such as when my family met Fist and Faith's family when we were near him while visiting my mother-of-love in New York, or when I and Beorn met Ms. Mary down in Miami.
Clear as mud yet?

Has it already been five years since the first Elohimfest?

You know, to this day I regret not going. It would have been hard to pull it off, but I should have tried.
