Listening to Diamond Dogs currently--also listening to Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and Here Come the Warm Jets. Waiting for Days of Future Passed to come through the mail, as well as the following Kinks albums: The Kinks are the Village Green Preservation Society, Arthur, and Lola versus Powerman and the Money-Go-Round, Part One.
Caer Sylvanus wrote:Really couldn't tolerate Kid A. OK Computer, awesome. Insomniac, pretty good. I appreciated where they were going with Kid A, but sonically, it really got on my nerves.
I love OK computer, it's in the cd player of my car right now . I also heard Tenatious D's "Best Song in the World-Tribute" this morning. I was laughing my arse off!
The only thing certain is that nothing is certain.
I'm listening to the debut mini-album by the interestingly-monikered British band Drive Like You Stole It. I stumbled across them last night, where they were the first support band, but also the best band there. I recommend a song called Sleight of Hand.
I had, for the last day or so, the Talking Heads Wild Wild Life running through my head. So I broke down this morning and downloaded the Talking Heads Greatest Hits onto my ipod.
Currently listening to Brian Wilson's Smile. Even though it's not the Beach Boys performing, Smile's great, IMO. And Tom, Brian is the lead singer on it. I didn't think it was him, but it is--just older than the voice I was used to. Still a good voice. The only let-down was Good Vibrations, but that's because the classic is so deeply engrained.
I was listening to some Chopin piano concertos earlier today, then the Stone Temple Pilot's Thank You CD of their greatest hits, and am now listening to the Dave Brubeck Quartet's Jazz Impressions of Japan.
I've been listening to Out of Nothing by Embrace, and I may have to report them to the music police. Nobody releases a fourth album that's the best thing they've ever done, so it must be breaking the laws of music, right?
Q. Why do Communists drink herbal tea?
A. Because proper tea is theft.
Today I ordered the soundtrack to Final Fantasy VI, by the legendary Nobuo Uematsu. It's on 3 discs and has about 60 tunes. I'll be listening to it soon. Can't wait for it to come in!

I tried to buy the soundtrack to Final Fantasy VII once (plus the soundtrack to The Guyver) but it cost a small fortune, then on top of that I had to have it imported. Eek.
dAN the Lion introduced me to this. This is awesome beyond awesomeness. I was going to buy London Calling, but this new Shatner album said "No, I'm cooler!"
By the way, Cov: if you want FFVII for a lot cheaper, try this. Has most of the best cuts and fully orchestrated versions of the main theme, Aeris' Theme, and One-Winged Angel. Good buy!

Wouldn't FFVII be one of the Playstation games you could just put in a stereo and copy the music off of? I know you could do that with Wip3out 2097, it had cool music on by the Prodigy.

Finally got Shatner's Has Been and the Blade Runner soundtrack. And the Final Fantasy VI OSV just came in! Haven't opened it yet. Sort of just wallowing in the anticipation.
