I hope you're all excited now! I chatted with johnnyredleader for a long time this morning, and what a hard core SRD fan he is, and, since he is car-less (thought our taxis would be cheaper) and has to leave Sunday I'm going to try to drive him up on an emergengy tour to Jemez and Andelian early tomorrow morning.

Played two sets of tennis in the smoke and heat today-bone dead, ha!-the smoke should start to clear Thursday morning, so they say. Right now it's pretty hazy and the setting sun is turning orange-red. All the outdoor work is finally done or will be by 4PM tomorrow. Tam is off at CostCo and Sunflower Market getting everything for Jenn's dinner. I just talked to Mike the video guy and he and his assistant Tomas scoped out the Cooperage this morning and found no problems, aside from being a little cramped, but they'll set up as dinner ends so we can make some room for them.

So once johnny and I meet up tomorrow that's 'first contact' and Elohimfest begins!!!

This trip for me certainly felt like some sort of pilgrimage when I set off from London. Having already seen the sights and mountain from sandia peaks (the slopes on the far side really looked otherworldly, reminding me of the cover of TPTP) I'm really excited about seeing andelain, what a thoroughly nice guy Danlo is.
My only regret is not knowing about these fests before, it's a wonderful thing to share something you love with like minded people. Here's to the kick off, cheers

Almost ready to go. All I have to pack up are my electronics. Kindle, phone, laptop and the mass of cords that go with it. My niece is stopping by to take me to the train station at 10 this morning and I'll be on my way.

Finishing some school work, then it's home to prep and tomorrow to fly.

I'm in Sydney and will be boarding my flight to the US in three hours. I'll land in Albuquerque 3pm today (American time).

Arrived in ABQ. Now waiting for Menolly's flight to arrive.

Had a fantastic day out in valles caldera with Danlo, Thor the deep sea diving dog and lovely grace , what a great start to the fest.
Such a beautiful and awe inspiring place, those vistas will stay with me forever
Looking forward to meeting up tommorrow

A ton of the smoke blew away-we can see the sky!!!- this afternoon-some still settling back, but no where near as bad as the last two days. The outside of the house is completely ready--will be doing in house clean up and helping Jenn prepare the dinner tomorrow morning. Jenn might have a delayed flight out of Denver and arrive 11PM our time. She said she'd call from Denver...but not a peep yet...

..OH..well good..I am p.o'ed that alot of Arizona you all have already been introduced to. I'd be just ,,oh look, more Arizona, just what we need.. But if the good wind continues at least a silhouette of me you will see...in less than 24 hours if all goes well. Meeting every one is such goodness..nuthin cooler on a summer's day! See ya soon!!

So like a dope, I just checked weather.com to see what I need to pack for this trip, and now I dunno what to pack. Highs will be in the 80s in Albuquerque...lows in the mid 40s in Flagstaff...and 103 when I fly out of Phoenix Wednesday. I'm pretty sure my suitcase isn't big enough to hold my whole closet. Guess I'll have to do what Magickmaker told me to do and wear layers. Damn smart-aleck kids today anyhow.
