Huzzah for healing! The arm will fill out and strengthen with appropriate use.

And if so, what formats do you suggest? I'm thinking Chronicles Jeopardy, but that won't fly without enough people being interested.
My TC trivia is terrible, as I have read all of the books, but have never done a reread. This sounds entertaining though!
ussusimiel wrote:Texting seems a bit fraught across the different providers, so it looks like we're going to have to do it the old-fashioned way.
There is a Watcher in Rome, Mephiston, who texts with several of us using an American number. I asked him for information on how he got the number. Here is what he says:
Mephiston wrote:ciao pammina
this is what I use to txt with US numbers for free:
heywire.com/goheywire/
the trouble is it won't work without a data connection (ie 3G or LTE or WiFi)
when you register you can chose from which region you'll get a new only txt number.
So, check in to it and see if it will work with your phones. Free texting to those outside the states would be fun even once 'fest is passed, or even with those who may not be attending.

I prefer Menolly or my FB ID, Illume Eltanin, over Pam. But I'll answer to any and all.

I'm sure that I'll be able to make an exception for our gracious Concierge
Thanks for the other info. I'll check it out.

I don't know. Can the attendees pronounce Old Giantish? To get acquainted with it, the
voiced alveolar trill is a good spot to begin.

Is that trill part of saying Frostheart?

Didn't BB King tell us back in '69 that
The Trill is Gone?

well...my watch name (Lucimay) is my grandmothers name (Lucy May) and I was sort of named after her (Lucinda) so...if you call me Luci as most watchers do then you will be calling me by my RL name, tho my mother refused to call me luci so I grew up being called Cindy, which I eventually changed the spelling to Cyndi and a lot of people call me Cyn BUT I also answer to my WoW toon name, Irvea, but most of my wow friends call me Irv and because my mate's family (son and sister) first met me on wow, they also call me Irv (now that I live with them) so...you have a bajillion things you could call me...
JUST DON'T CALL ME LATE TO DINNER! :p
also, I pretty much call everyone by their watch names. I can't help it.
and I have a lot of my wow friends as RL friends too and I call them all by their wow toon names as well.
it's just nicknames.
but I call Syl Sheriff because he reminds me of Bullock from Deadwood.

A shot? Rob, I clearly remember you winning an almost impossible round of WWM a few years ago.

IOW, bring it!

For me, it depends on how easy their watch name is to pronounce. Fist&Faith has always been Fist to me, even when we've talked on the phone. Danlo is always Danlo, Lucimay is Luci, etc. Everyone calls me Don - as Fist once said, no one wants to say "dlbpharmd, will you please pass the salt?" On the other hand, Aliantha is hard for me to pronouce, so I'm on a first name basis with her. Ooo-soos-si-me-ell is right out, so I'll need your first name too, if you please.
I refuse to address Romeo by his watch name.

It's not so bad if you pronounce "dibble-farmed".

"DLB" seems reasonable as well.

Great. Some idea of participation is good, so I appreciate posting just to say "me!".
A rather cool weekend in the 87s seems great to me.

SRD will not want to be introduced to everyone by their Watch name. He prefers real names.

Holy cats. I wasn't gonna bring shorts, but...

Whether or not I win it depends on the subject matter...
