evacuate
procrastinate
defenestrate
The need to evacuate the area was urgent as the sirens were blaring out a warning of the imminent attack. No one could afford to procrastinate and dropped what they were doing, but it was too late - an explosion ripped through the back part of the building and threw everyone to the ground. What was left of the door was buried in rubble from an upstairs wall, so the only option to get out of the building now was to self-defenestrate.

The rabidly adventurous tourists wanted to immediately visit the hieroglyphics exhibit after touring the uranium mine, but decided it was safest to first change out of their radioactive lederhosen.

The stodgy old lady's face was as slack as an antinomian commandment.
Shaking a finger, she said, 'I wish I'd never listened to those lying fools who said that the early Christians told everyone,
"Sin more, so that grace may abound."
"I searched the world and the pages of history for ways disfigure the image of God in me, and in China, I ended up with was these," she said, pointing to her perfectly-bound feet, which contorted above the insole of each western-made shoe.

It's neither paradox nor parallel to hear a lorikeet squawk like a firm-hit bell.

Sorry is the hardest word to say to someone who now has radioactive lederhosen. It's illustrative of the lax attitudes at uranium mines these days. Sometimes I think it's a throwback to the times when the leather apparel of tourists meant little to those who ran such places.

The idea began to percolate the thoughts of this thread's posters that we should evacuate this thread, because no one wants to use a sentence containing the word "menstruate".

Melliflous sounds wafted through the open window. It would have been remissible to have ignored the source of these sounds, so I wandered downstairs to see who the owner of this remarkable voice was. When I reached the street level where there is a busy cafe, I was surprised to see that the singing was coming from the waiter who was serving people who were sitting outside.

As a scholar in jurisprudence, the aging, perennial student was a menace on the daily commute as he thought it his duty to expurgate any possible misunderstanding of the least jot or tittle of the law.

His bombastic ways were known to all.
He would be sitting on the bus nibbling a bit of candy, and lean over to ask his neighbor whether he had anything inflammable in the package he was mailing.
Participants in an asynchronous line exiting the subway could expect to be poked with his cane.
Ooh- speaking of nitpicking about rules... we're supposed to do THREE sentences each.

My face just got incarnadine with blushing!
I realize I failed to remember to keep Loremaster's rule for storytelling incarnate within all my posts on this thread.
It was just me telling myself that it felt convenient to put it all in one sentence.

He gave the wrench a gentle twist.
"That thar sprocket should be fixed nicely," he said, spitting a wad of tobaccker on to the ground near his feet.
Rapping on the metal casing of the machine, he added, "This shouldn't warrant none of your concern nor no extra attention, Ma'am," and tipped his cap with a greasy hand.

The prosecutor knew she would never stray from her vision of cleaning up corruption in this town.
Some more evidence would need to be gathered to prove that certain council members had made pejorative statements.
Such evidence might be found once she unearthed what had been buried behind the bouganvillia.

Nice!
As she dug, her mind wandered to contemplating the matchless perfections of Christ as if she was the author of Dorothy Sayers' mysteries.
If at that moment she'd been contemplating mysteries by that author* rather than those by the Divine Author, though, she might have realized that her location was not defensible.
The yard lights flicked on, revealing the luxury of the gardens, and, unfortunately, her.

The intruder seemed to take an inordinate amount of time to flush from his hiding place and run towards her.
Fortunately, he stepped on the section of the yard's sidewalk that had just been polished and washed, to the point its surface was effectively buttered.
His head hit the sidewalk with all the force of a titanium bat upside the head.

The flooring was rotted, the carpets threadbare, and five stars were visible through a hole in the roof. Winter leaves had gathered in a corner of the room. Without warning a coarse chiming sounded from an old clock on the wall, announcing midnight.
