Hi everyone!
I'm a fervent reader of fantasy books, and Chronicles are among the best I've read (especially the First) KW looks nice, I think I'll stick around here for a while
Still anxiously waiting for "Runes" and the upcoming movie...

Hello everyone! My name is Laura and I've been a fan of SRD since I was first urged to read the chronicles by my mom in about '85. I was resistant at first, since my first love is horror. But I had already read the Dune books, LotR and much Bradbury so I dove in and read all 6 in quick succession! How could anyone NOT? Lol! I always try to get people to read these books, I love them so.
I've been lurking around her for about 2 years and this place is what let me know Runes was coming! WooHoo!
This is a really great place and you all seem like a terrific group. I'm glad to be here and hope to stay to discuss these last (:() 3 books.

Well, since horror is my first love and Stephen King my fave author, I spent lots of online time at a SK board that we call the Green Mile. I've been there for over 4 years and made a great many friends. We even got together this year in Maine (over 20 of us, but there are more) for vacation and did the SK tour around his hometown! (We aren't weirdos- really! A lot of very cool peeps who share common interests, just like you guys. There have been many meets and many friendships forged.):) Plus I visit other boards and this was really the only place I ever came to to see if there was any news of another trilogy. How exciting to see it actually happen!!
I have to commend you on the site- it is really the best on the web re: SRD and the Chronicles.
I really enjoy reading everyone's opinions and guesses as to what may happen next. I've really only begun to crack the board- I have loads of catching up to do!

LauraK, I think that as of last year a lot of us passed the point where we could say forum-goers who meet up and do author related stuff are wierdos (check the Album for pictures)...

I recently found out about this site the SRD's web site. I just joined because I had some Runes of the Earth questions and thought I might run them by this community. I recently reread the first and second chronicles and then found Runes was coming out a matter of days after. I have read Runes once and am now rereading it.
