I was about to ask for some samples of each, just so I could see if that was true.

Well, now it's too late for an edgetar as a birthday present.

Oh well.

Ah. . . maybe he can give you one as a belated present.
I would ask for one too, but I think I need to keep this one a bit longer since it won the popular vote.

I think I found one that's as close to a resurrected, illearth driven, Elena, as I'm gonna get, but I like it.

Hey, I want people to give me suggestions for who to put on my next avatar. I am thinking I want some sort of female character wearing a cloak or cape that says, "Sola Scriptura" on it. (my internal reaction to many conversations in The Close)
So... I've considered and tossed out Wonder Woman and Linden as possibilities. Most of the people or characters I'm thinking of just don't "fit." I'm considering "Rosie the Riveter" right now. Anyone got any other suggestions for me? Shouldn't be too obscure... famous women from Real Life who have inner strength could be cool too, but... I would be picky about choosing one.
Just having fun with this... though maybe I'll regret it and won't go with this idea. Maybe I'm the only one this will amuse...

It'd be tough to get a pic of her in a cape, but what about Indira Gandhi?

Also hard to find one with a cape, but...
Maya Angelou?

Thanks for those rather flattering suggestions...

Yes, a female "crusader" in some form was definitely what I was thinking of. I admit that my asking y'all was in part vanity.
Well, I just had a flash of intuition and realized that I wanted to "be" the character "Jez" (short for Jezebel) from the comic "Nukees"!
www.nukees.com
This is kinda fun, I admit... like role-playing or dress-up.
Jez is this clever Goth chick who is pretty comfortable in her own skin and has fun antagonizing and trying to convert the (somewhat rabidly-) atheist main character. So actually, a "Sola Scriptura" cape is hilariously-appropriate (even with her Goth garb!) rather than hilariously-incongruous on her.

I don't think this is what you're looking for, but it's from one of my favorite artists, Barry Smith.

Go with it Lina! That's awesome dAN-reminds me of Aubrey Beardsley's style which I adore.
