Thanks guys. One question. I have an essay I wrote on the first and second Chronicles for university. My lecturer liked it, got a decent mark, but I'd like to hear what the Covenant fans think. It's 3000 words long, though, which seems way too hefty to dump in a normal post. Is there somewhere that would be more appropriate?

Sounds like your essay would be best put in The Hall of Gifts, perhaps?

Better not slight the admins... ;)

Welcome to the Watch Cambo.

Hall of Gifts is probably good. I'd suggest posting a link to the Hall post in the TC forum as well, just to direct people who might be interested.

The Hall isn't a very high traffic area, so some people might miss it otherwise.

Have fun, join in anywhere.

Dude. What on earth was it doing in the children's section?

After reading the first chapter that's what I was thinking. 25 years later and I'm *still* looking up words in the damn dictionary and I consider my vocabulary to be pretty well-rounded, lol.

Certainly reading the series as an adult is a lot different than a teenager, that's for sure.

I know what you mean...kinda. I don't have twenty five years to look back on- I don't even have twenty five years- but I've read or re-read some Covenant material every year since I was seventeen. As my knowledge of the world has grown, so has the level of insight to be gained from the books. Atm I'm nail-biting trying to get my hands on a copy of AATE.

Newbie from Wales, not England!

Hi
I'm new around here. First read the Chronicles in the early eighties and am waiting now for AATE to turn up in the shops here in Wales tomorrow morning :D

Be Welcome to the Watch, akassassin71 and coedyfelin.
Be Well Come and True.

Watch member Beorn is my 17 year old son.
He first read the first and second chrons when he was 10.
He read The Gap at 13.
I still haven't even touched The Gap cycle...

aye.
With explicit instructions he come talk to either Hyperception or me if anything made him uncomfortable. Led to some good discussion.

He was also working his way through Steven King's bibliography at that age.

Hello to all.
I just finished "Against All Things Ending" and am in a daze! We desperately need a forum to discuss this amazing work of art, and to bemoan the three years we must wait for the next installment.

Thank you. I have followed your advice. I will try not to "Spoil" it for others.

Yep. Create the topic in the HoG, then just make a post in the TC forum say, in which you put the URL of the post in the HoG.

As for the rest of you, welcome to the Watch. :D
