Haha, my GF's too. Is it the one with the bulls and the absinthe?

I could make a whole list of awesome scenes from that book, but I'd have to spoiler it.

Five months? That's brutal. It seems like they have an idea of what the problem is, why aren't they running more tests? No one should have to wait that long.

You did say you "all-time favourite scene" though...so there must be one...

Iolanthe -- that's very cool!
So yesterday, I came down with a cold.

Lotsa sniffling going on, even with the cold medicines I'm taking.

Hoping it will run its course shortly...

Okay, okay - don't read this, Iolanthe!
It's near the end, when Granny Weatherwax is stuck inside the mirrors. She asks Death how she can get out, and Death replies:
WHEN YOU FIND THE ONE THAT'S REAL.
"Is this a trick question?"
NO.
Granny looked down at herself.
"This one," she said.

Ok, might have to read that series thanks to Sorus's teaser.
On good notes, got a lot of stuff done, Darth is officially mine. On bad notes, I ordered three minor things from amazon the other night. I had to reset my password and didn't realize that it also reset my one click function to my old address until yesterday when I got my shipping notification email. So I have three totally cool things I've paid for that I can't cancel that are being shipped to Chris's address. He's totally going to open them and keep them. I even went to the post office and asked if they could be stop shipped in any way. They tried but no. I'm all, seriously? if you can track a package why can't you stop the same package? and they said they just dont' have that function worked into the system. So Chris is getting my cool shit and I am out the money. And yes, I called Amazon and dealt with customer service for over an hour and there's nothing they can do either because all three items shipped from independent sellers. If it was their warehouse they could solve it. My only possible hope is intercepting the packages at the SF post office tomorrow. Gah... sucks.

Jenn, do you have a forwarding order on mail? Wouldn't that cause any packages to be either returned to the sender if they can't be forwarded, or forwarded to you before being delivered to a former address?

Haha, Ok, when you said favourite, for some reason I thought "funniest."
That's a great scene alright, but it's not really funny. Well, it's funny, but not in the way that I though we were talking about.
The GF's favourite is the scene with the absinthe and the bulls, as mentioned earlier.

How do I feel today? Pretty good, considering I stepped on a scorpion last night. Yes, it hurt like a sonofagun, but only for a couple hours and then I fell asleep and today you'd hardly even know.
On a surreal note, the school gave out notices to teachers about security precautions. Attached was an article on dodging gunfire. MDACC: motion, distance, angles, concealment, cover. Now you know.

Haha! Red rag to a bull, read it of course. Have just downloaded The Last Continent and Equal Rites to read over the weekend (going to London for big family history fair). So, making a start on the Witches novels.

It's more of a
hell yeah scene.
Funniest.... I don't know if I could pick one.
The bulls, absolutely.
Greebo as a human tomcat.
Greebo as a vampire slayer.
The bat squirmed under his claw. It seemed to Greebo's small cat brain that it was trying to change its shape, and he wasn't having any of that from a mouse with wings on.
Nanny Ogg being Nanny Ogg.
"You know what this river's called?" she said.
"No."
"'S called the Vieux River."
"Yes?"
"Know what that means?"
"No."
"The Old (Masculine) River," said Nanny.
"Yes?"
"Words have sex in foreign parts," said Nanny, hopefully.
I could keep going, but I don't want to spoil the whole thing for Iolanthe.
It's better in context.

So, I've been super hyper and doing stuff lately... that's good.
Also, I still love doing math tutoring.

amusing line...
Also, ick and ick to Cambo's exhaustion at work + excruciatingly slow diagnosis process and Vraith's iced-over Minnesotan winterlands...

I am classified as "semi-urgent" and that is apparently the expected waiting time for semi urgent operations
Yesterday sucked, my pain levels started outrunning the medication. Started feeling faint and woozy after going to the movies with friends. On a positive note, I finally got a GP and have an appointment today. Will hopefully get some proper medication and maybe even some answers about my symptoms.

Mail forwarding only stays in effect for 90 days. It is up to the individual to have all important address changes made by then. Anyway, it is what it is. Sucks but oh well. Technically if he doesn't mark it return to sender and refuse delivery he's committing mail theft which is a federal offense. And he will have to sign for the ups delivery so there's the proof.

Sirens and gunshots up and down the street between 2 and 3 am. This after a string of armed break-ins in the neighborhood. The local cops are widely thought to be on the take in this one. Still, Stag, Fawn and I were able to go back to sleep. Which goes to show that you can get used to just about anything. That's not to say it doesn't take its toll, but it's when we get to the end of our resources that we really find out what our faith is in.

Just when I think I've started getting better at Twitter, I realise I've dropped back down to only a couple of actual followers (plus the small group of bots and other accounts that don't actually follow the people they follow). It's feeling like my blog did up until recently: Throwing stuff out there onto the net that no one ever actually sees or gives a damn about.
