my tummy is icky!
I've gone two days without chocolate...I'm sure there's a connection there: no chocolate = icky tummy = must eat chocolate = no more icky tummy.
Ick.

Ahh, you just took me back to my good old college days. Thanks. Unfortunately I have no answers for you.

Quod erat demonstrandum. Simple math, simple solution. Now pass me the chocolate covered raisins (for antioxidant benfits only of course...)

I was going to complain about icky tummy too. More like intense pain. I'm thinking of going to the doc, as a matter of fact. If these are sympathy pains, I wish I was less sympathetic.

I did not wake up in time for breakfast and I have a test in ten minutes.

Today is going to be fabulous. Or not.

Pleased. A year after I stopped trying, I went back to the Archos website to have one more go at getting the internet working on my media player. Lo and behold, they'd seen sense and added paypal as an option for buying the plugin (my problem had been the site's checkout asking my bank for a kind of security info it doesn't use), and I finally got it working!
This post typed slowly and laboriously using a stylus and touch screen on my Archos 605 WiFi. While sat at home in front of my PC. With KW open on Firefox. Isn't technology wonderful?

Woohoo!

Speaking of technology, my screen keeps. . . twitching or something akin to it. I think it is about to 'splode. At least it is just the work computer.
In unrelated random news, I accosted a friend when I saw her at the local art supply store. I couldn't think of words fast enough, so I reached out and lightly pinched her arm. She was happy to see me, despite the pinch. And then I went to pick up my contacts (been wearing my nerdy glasses all week) and saw two of my guy friends there. They complimented me on my nerdiness and invited me to play some game called Munchkin. w00t for being a nerd-girl.

Interesting...I lost one of my contacts in a dumb accident (is there any other kind?) several weeks ago and only yesterday picked up the replacement. (I had been waiting for it to be shipped from the US). An expensive business, losing one's contacts.

Yes, indeedy! The assistant where I got mine asked me if I wanted a three month or six month supply. I told him six month (thinking that meant one box for each eye) and he ordered 12 pairs (four boxes). This makes me wonder if I should be changing them more often. Anyway, the total was $127. If I wear them the way I have been for the last 6 years, I will get an entire year's wear for that price.

Well, mine are hard lenses, so they cost a bit more to replace. For me, it worked out to $180 ($142 US) for the one. But when I consider that a pair of hard lenses can last for years (except when one loses them

), the cost isn't too bad.

Ahh. . . that makes sense.
I don't want to log off and go to sleep because that means tomorrow will get here sooner. Somehow in my mind staying up even later makes tomorrow further away. I know. . . logic just isn't in it.
And. . . I am missing some of my old mistakes. I know that they were mistakes, but even the mistakes felt pretty good at times. It's better than feeling nothing.

I am willing myself to feel better. Went to the doc this morning for the suspected sinus infection; she gave a prescription for an antibiotic, which I dropped off at the CVS across the street from my office building, intending to get back there about an hour later...and needless to say, I didn't get back there 'til after the end of the workday.
So the bad news about today is that it was so freakin' hectic that I was supposed to take two hours of leave for the doctor appointment but ended up spending most of it on the BlackBerry answering work e-mails. And then it was totally crazy when I *did* get into the office. But the good news is that my supervisor told me not to put in for the leave, since I was on e-mail so much this morning. Yay!
Oh! But the *best* news is that Magickmaker told me today that her head mostly doesn't hurt any more!

Yay indeed!
And yay that I had an awesome time caving today!
In other news, I've got a cold. I refuse to call it the flu because I refuse to get the flu. If I start feeling really bad I'll go to the doctor, but for now I've just got a scratchy throat and a nose that is stuffy and runny by turns.
And now I am going to go make a sign to post that tells girls that they are only allowed to reserve the social room in our residence hall for up to 4 hours because everyone wants to use the space.

Yay for Magicmaker!
I woke up at 4am with a cracking headache. I decided not to take anything for it, went back to bed, but by 7am I felt like my brain was exploding. Took painkillers. Feel semi-human now (it's early arvo now).
...now I must clean the house (always my favorite Sunday activity!

here we bloody go again! I've just been on the phone to my sis who is watching plumes of smoke from fires that have just broken out to the north of her.
I'm really over all this bushfire stress!
Nothing close enough to us to be of concern thank God.
