It wasn't really doing much to stop it anyway. If Court membership were mandatory, you didn't get to control who you were matched with at the start, and cooperating had stronger benefits, that'd do it. Would probably need more than two Courts, too.

Edit: Alternatively to mandatory membership, harsh penalties for being Unaligned, like the inability to share DRP with other players.

Maybe if giving power to another came at a loss? You have to give 2 DRPs for the receiver to get 1?

Anyway, as far as Eclipse goes, there are a couple of things all should know. We are dedicated to the Balance, and that's it. We're not an alliance of any sort. The Court DRPs have never been used for anything but saving Eiran. We don't have any projects that we do as a Court, and, in fact, no two of us have done anything more for each other than I've done with some non-Eclipse deities. Borrow and loan some power; use our power for another; trade some info; whatever.

Hell, nobody was more surprised than me by the transformation from Calais to Vashitva! Sure wasn't an Eclipse thing, and just goes to show how much caam and I were not working together!

And Z isn't into fighting at all. He does it when he must, but would gladly live in peace forever. So not too much for him and uK to do together.

And look where Koel is. Way down there with the Sunset Court.

Not the point, Fist.
In a sense I am with Stone regarding the secrecy is all.

The fact that some players knew of its existence but most didn't, as an official court that could affect the game, however minutely, smacks of favoritism.

But I'll still admit I would have loved to have been in on the secret. I've admitted to being a hypocrite before. ;)

I'd like to point out that people keep using the wrong metaphors for Sunrise and Sunset. Notice that in the literal sense, both of them are equally as dim or bright. And both of them are equally at the horizon... neither up nor down. Sunrise is risING, but has not yet risen. Sunset is descending, but has not yet done so.

Eclipses on the other hand can happen at any elevation, and are uniformly a darkening of what otherwise was well lit. They're a moment of quasi-night during the day. Which is no more or less an expression of the mixture between day and night than sunrise or sunset.

And then, there’s Eclipse

Ladies and Gentlemen (and Fist), we have just seen the first non-haiku posting by the Dread Poet Jethro. Still in verse, though... so not out of character. Just a rare treat.

(First one I've seen, anyway. But I don't get out of Gravin Threndor.)

You need to venture out more, goat.
There have been the occasional others...

...and he did introduce the parody lyrics with a haiku.

There's nothing outside of GT I need, you know that. DPJ comes by for visits.

Is it just me, or is it climbing the walls in here?!?

(It's been a week since the last post in the forum, so I figured I'd better say something.)

I thought I was the only one who posted just to get his name to show up in the main GT page.

I would have said "whore" instead of "hound" but... I'm more forthright, or something.

I finally learned my lesson last turn.
There will be no more requests for CHs, nor questions regarding how processing is coming from this quarter.
Other than that, I don't have much else to say.
So, let the silence continue until results are out.

One more to come, when the next turn comes around I think. Can you see where it's going yet?

I'd say either:

A) You're going to change domains to something like chaos, destruction, or strife.
B) "Bel" will have departed the world, and a god of Hope will fill that space.

Either way, I'd suggest we remember this when the next Watchies come around. Best story-arc contender, right here.

Please do remember not to confuse a follower's thoughts with those of the God. Bel has been silent since the previous turn, and shall remain so for a while longer.

It's called an unreliable narrator. Mr "too emo to live" over there doesn't have a clue what Bel is actually doing or thinking, though that doesn't mean he's wrong.
