I've got to say,
WE BEAT FRANCE ON THEIR OWN TURF.
What a fantastic night - I was there, watching wee James McFadden launch a rocket into the French goal.
I think I'll stop going to Scotland matches abroad now - it won't get any better than that, what an atmosphere.
P.S., sorry I'm a week late with this, but I've just come down from cloud 9.

Avram Grant is the new Chelsea manager. No surprise really as his appointment as Director of Football is probably one of the main reasons Mourinho walked.

Man, Rangers can't stop winning. First the German Champions and now the French champions. Lyon 0-3 Rangers... Lyon have really suckd since they brought in Perrin as manager and lost Malouda. Man U beat Roma 1-0 and Arsenal beat Steaua Bucharest 1-0.
Liverpool, Chelsea and Celtic play tomorrow. I think Valencia will beat Chelsea because Chelsea have a useless manager. Celtic is lose and Liverpool will win, I think.

Yes, a fantastic result for Rangers tonight, was totally shocked by it.
I think Liverpool & Valencia will win tomorrow night too, but Celtics home record in the Champions league is very good, I think they can take at least a draw off AC Milan.
Looking forward to the Aberdeen game against Dnipro on Thursday as well. If we play like we did in the first half of our last game I can see us sneaking a valuable away goal (0-0 after the first leg), and maybe going through to the group stages - it's gonna be tough though.

Told you Celtic could take something from Ac Milan. Final score Celtic 2 - 1 AC Milan.
Marred by a fan running onto the pitch and slapping the AC goalie on the face though - that might cost Celtic dear.

Great advert for Scottish Football. Rangers have beaten the German and French champions while Celtic the Champions League Champions. Chelsea beat Valencia and Liverpool managed to lose at home to a french team which are doing rubbish in their own league.
Oh well, 5 wins for British teams and 1 defeat... pretty good.

What a fantastic result for Aberdeen in the UEFA cup. A 1-1 draw against the side sitting in second place in the Ukraine league, which puts us through on away goals after a goalless first leg.
Everton go through against Metalist Kharkiv, who are sitting 4th in the Ukraine league, and Spurs go through as well as Bolton.
Sadly for Blackburn fans, they are out even after beating Greek team Larissa 2 -1 tonight, defeated 3-2 on aggregate.
Can't wait for the group stages draw tomorrow - hope we get one of the English teams.

Oh, snap!
Barcelona 0 - 0 Rangers
Rangers 2 - 0 Celtic
Rangers are doing well.
Arsenal, Man U and Chelsea won in Europe... Liverpool didn't.
I guess I must mention this... England lost against Russia and look not to be qualifying for Europe Finals.
Martin Jol was sacked as Spurs manager and Ramos looks like he will take over which means Spurs will become awesome.

Italy have done it once again... they managed to cheat their way through into the finals; their clubs do it and the national team does it.
at least England's fate is in their own hands again...

Completely gutted. Looked like we were heading for a draw when the ref gave the strangest decision of the day (there were a few) by awarding Italy a free kick after their player had fouled Alan Hutton

They scored the winner from the free kick.
A roller coaster of emotions flowed through me all day, and to be cruelly knocked out in that fashion was a kick in the teeth.
Looking forward to the draw for the World Cup 2010 next Sunday.
Also an amazing result in Israel - a bit unexpected, but it gives England the chance to qualify. It's going to be a jittery evening on Wednesday for England, especially with their 2 top strikers injured. Not sure which way it will go.

Well, an absolutely devastating night for England - losing 3-2 at home to Croatia, which, along with Russia winning in Andorra, sends them crashing out of the Euro Championships.
Now England fans know exactly how us Scots feel on a regular basis.
Roll on the World Cup draw.

ESPECIALLY if Ireland get Houllier as manager!
Looks like there'll be a 'home nations' competition in the summer.

England are out... it was coming. McClaren will now finally get the sack, I actually wanted England not to qualify because then McClaren will gte the boot. Why the hell is he manager... what has he won in he last five years? The League Cup with Middlesbrough, plus guide to average positions in the table... great
Hopefully England will bring in a world beater... someone like Jose Mourinho!
Oh well, England still have the best Leaue in the World, the Premiership! Hopefully the FA don't blame the PremierLeague on England's failings and start to make changes. The two reasons why England did not get through 1. Crap Manager 2. Crap players

Scotlands manager Alex McLeish resigned last week to go to bloody Birmingham
Hopefully we can replace him with someone as committed and talented.
Good luck to him at Birmingham, he'll need it.
I predict James McFadden moving from Everton to Birmingham during the January transfer window.

I don't really know who could do the Scotland job. Gordon Strachan would be a good choice but he would never leave Celtic.

I was right about Mcfadden - that was odds on he would go there - McLeish is a huge fan of his.
