My birthday was yesterday. My 28th. Another blizzard welcomed another year for me. But at least the Philadelphia Eagles gave me a good present this year.

Today I am 47. If its your birthday also, I say to ye: Happy Birthday!
I will be celebrating when I get to 50 a round number with a big shindig!
Today is also Holocaust Day. One of several "Lord Foul" amok on Earth was Adolph Hitler who genocided 6 million Jewish people. He also "processed" smaller numbers of "degenerates" such as Poles, communists, gypsies, homosexuals. Other acts of genocides in Russia (Stalin), China (Dedong), and Rwanda, and other parts of the world I also not forget. This is history, and may we learn not to create enemies nor seek to kill nor genocide.
Likewise with ecocide.
The lesson we could learn in context of the The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant, is to admit the potential of anyone doing terrible things, and then to do something about our vices, undergo acts of transformation within ourselves (through spiritual paths of your choice).

So, yeah, today is my birthday.
My daughter sent me a mix CD as a present. She labelled it "Mom's Oldies & Randomness Mix" and included tracks from The Who, Beatles, Rolling Stones, Enya, J-pop, Janis Ian, Simon & Garfunkle, REM, Petula Clark, and The Phantom of the Opera, plus 3 "mystery tracks" she made with friends using Garageband. She included an annotated sheet with jokes and comments about every track.
