Went to a gig yesterday. Saw my bro. Drank a lot. Put up with my bro being derogatory towards gay people (which the friend I had come to the gig with is--gay, that is). Drank more. Spewed on the way home twice.

CLASS! ALL CLASS I TELL YA!

Today I feel like death warmed up. But I deserve it! :P

Nice. I went to see my friend's band friday night, in a real classy bar; you know, the type of bar who's parking lot is also the entrance to a mobile home park. Yeah, real class. Highlights include: 1) the two old men sitting behind me singing the "I'm gonna kick someone's ass" song, apparently at me (fortunately for them it wasn't my week to beat the shit out of old people, so I ignored them); 2) The woman with a hopeless look on her face trying to make eye contact with me (sorry, two things I don't do in a bar is drink and pick up women); 3) the female version of Forrest Gump tearing it up Gump style on the dance floor; and 4), the most perplexing one of all, which was near the end of the final set. Three twenty-something women started dancing, and amazingly they all were pretty. That alone was impressive, but what was really weird was the blonde at some point kicked off her shoes to where I was sitting, though I was paying attention to the band, and didn't know she did that at the time. Anyway, she came looking for them between songs; one was under my chair, so I handed it to her. She then said something to me, but the next song started and I couldn't hear her at all. I said 'I can't hear you", she gave me a pissed off look and walked off, coming back a few minutes later with some really old man and danced with him in front of me. I guess she wanted me to dance with her. Whatever. She spent the whole song removing his hands from her body; I hope it was worth it to her.

for some reason that all seems like fun to me. havent been to a bar in ages. i am looking forward to the spring thaw when the tourists (bennies) return, the bars open up and all the jimmy buffet wannabes start playing on Friday nights.

as to how i feel today......i am hopeful today.......feel possibilities in the air. and i am still employed. i guess this is good.

If I could make A&W Papa burgers a part of my daily diet without consequences to my health (and wallet), I would.

I wouldn't mind trying a burger made by danlo.

It's one of the rare Cag drunk moments these days. What is it about the bodily abuse that is so appealing? A little self-abuse and I'm as happy as a lark. I love everybody right now. And music sounds so frickin' good. I know I will pay tomorrow, but right now it's one of those glowy moments where I feel like everything will just work out and nothing will get me down. Why can't I feel this way under the normal sobriety? Maybe we just need these moments to realize that we need not take life so seriously.

But yeah, I've been hanging with my friend Eric, drinking the supremely aesthetically pleasing substance known as Guinness. I certainly am one of the worshippers at the Church of Ol' Artie. Smiles to you all!

Kinda down today. Thinking about my mom -- she died a year ago tomorrow. :( And we got our first real snowfall of the year today, just in time for rush hour. I almost called in, but I knew I had stuff to do as soon as I got here. Plus I'm already taking Friday and Monday off for a grad-school scouting trip with Batty. Bleah.

I'm sorry you are having a difficult time with your mothers death. It is not an easy time. pamper yourself today, warm bath, cold ice cream and a good book. It won't stop you from feeling low, but might make the bottom a little softer.

That sounds startling like the bar I used to bartend at. Except replace the band with a crappy DJ that likes to spew Alan Jackson all night.

Crap. Utter crap.

I took an incomplete so I could make up the work so I wouldn't fail the class. I'm going to fail it anyway. (sorry mum, I'm not going to take the extension. I don't think it would do me any good at this point.)

I've had a migraine for three days.

I have a class in 5 minutes. I think I'm going to go take a nap instead, before my test at 2:40(which I'm not sure I'm prepared for).

Argh. It's finals week! I'm sure I will do fine, but I'm nervous as all hell.

Sending out good vibes and fairy dust to whomever needs it.

I was way hung over Monday. I think I was finally able to stop the swimmy head about 12:30.

Carla and I have been interviewing doulas for the birth. If you
The first was friendly, but a little too "professional." She did have delightful cleavage though, but she made Carla and I both a little tense, which is what doulas are supposed to do away with. Still, she was very nice, and the most professional and experienced of whom we saw.

The second were actually two that back each other up. I felt familial feelings toward one of them, who reminded me of a cousin of mine. Though I'm not quite sure which cousin exactly. But they were both especially nice, and I felt we had it sewn up.

The third was one who didn't want to meet at our home, which I found a little strange where the rest did want to. She wanted to meet at a coffee shop, and she looked pretty hippy (which I like, but can sometimes be annoying) and did henna belly painting. However, we met her and she was especially nice, and kinda reminded me of Drew Barrymore. She has the least experience of the lot, but was probably the warmest. Carla is pushing for her, and so that's probably who we'll be sharing our birth with. But we'll be deciding soon.

Also, we decided on the first name for the baby and have the middle name whittled down to 2 names. But we aren't announcing until the baby is born.

Well, I hope the test went okay for you, anyhow.

Good luck on your finals, Jaz!

I am so looking forward to the big announcement.
May all go smoothly from here on out. :)
