From what I have seen around here, null is lucky that folks like Frostheart and Effaeldm have not seen this post. If they had, they surely would have made much of the word "Member."
Oho, our fame precedes us.
Following the established tradition, SD should type something which we can quote out of context in regards to null's prize member fantasies.

It's gonna be a long week. I think Evil Minion may have quit. Which leaves me doing everything myself. Not a one-person job. On the other hand, he may come waltzing back in tomorrow like the latest MIA doesn't matter. And why should it? He's learned that his actions have no serious consequences.
How many times could I get away with not showing up for work? Not one. I'm tired of people getting away with murder because management doesn't expect anything of them. Yes, they say they're sick of it too, but they're too spineless to actually do anything about it. <rantrantrant>

It's the old standard. This world rewards incompetency. The more you do the more you are expected to do. The less you do the less you are expected to do.......(and you are given government assistance not to do it.) You sure you don't work for the government?

Argh.
Evil Minion came back. I was really hoping he wouldn't. Doing everything myself seems preferable to doing almost everything myself and cleaning up his various messes. You're totally right, Lorin. The world does reward incompetency.

It's the Peter Principle. You will continue to be promoted until you suck at your job.

Which they tried to give Stag, but he wisely declined, with a polite version of "Bury your own d#$@ bodies."

Shaun, you should totally drag your woolly arse here. Sheep, sheep, sheep everywhere. Eating seaweed on the shore, trotting over the sidewalks. Wouldn't be surprised to hear about undersea sheep colonies or meresheep. Io's 4GB of RAM would get a completely different meaning. Just get over your phobia of sleet falling sideways. Come on, it's about 25 celsius warmer than on the morning I left Finland. That's a positive summer!
Is Cafe Natur still going strong in Torshavn?
Spent a lost couple of days in there years ago on a Faroes v Scotland football trip.
Still remember the eye wateringly high price of alcohol

I had the most interesting journey home tonight. Full moon definitely made it weird but it was a great kind of weird. I'll blog about it.

Death comes in threes. A friend's daughter was mysteriously electrocuted unplugging a USB cable in Ghana. Then the puppy. Then a 12 year old girl in our school. All very sudden and unexpected.
Stag and I are toast and looking forward to a few days away from it all. Not away from Nigeria, although away from the urban madness, away from our house which is Grand Central Station lately, at a retreat.
After 3 days at the motor vehicle registry, my patience was at an end and I drove home thinking "This is the stupidest country in the WORLD!!!" Stag and I had a convo about how we MUST remain positive about things here; which is actually possible.

Yeah I saw it around. Don't precisely know why I didn't go in...perhaps it was the place that was under repairs.

I spent the better part of the day yammering with Prebe on instant message and only got one lousy thing done. At the same time, he's the one that pointed out that they call it a day OFF for a reason....

He does have a point...

I've been neglectful of my Watcher friends. Sorry, guys.
Deer, sorry about your losses -- I hope you guys have a restful time on your retreat.

Sorus, sorry about your stupid minion being stupid.

And Sarge, sorry about Julie's mom. Here's a hug for each of you.
Spent last weekend away. The how-to-publish-an-ebook talk went fabulously well last Saturday, and I had a good visit with my friend and her family. The train trip there and back was fun, altho I've decided that I'm too old to do overnight trips in coach -- from here on out, it'll be the sleeper car for ali.
Oh, and Magickmaker is about 95% certain of getting a new job.

And Batty has an interview for a temp-to-hire position Monday.

So I'm feeling cautiously optimistic about getting my apartment to myself again before too much longer.

Dude, I PAY to do nothing on a day off.

Thanks for the good wishes. We had a great retreat. Mostly doing nothing. The best part for me was leading a sing-along. It was supposed to be outdoors but it rained out of season, so we had it in a large room with a fireplace... it ended up being more intimate that way, and I could hear everyone singing back at me, it was awesome. Nothing better than the sound of lots of ppl singing...

I hadn't noticed before that the date of the most users ever online was April 1st, 2008. But, that may be true, for all I know...
