btw - julie has kind of agreed to try the audio version of the first book!

this is a huge step for her, she is not a fantasy fan at all.

now all i have to do is find it on cd form...

Hildegaard na-Mhoram wrote:Hello everyone ^.^ Phyllis here. I'm Lord Zombiac's fiancée.

I recently met some of you at Elohimfest this past weekend. I feel a little silly getting on board without yet reading any of SRD's books, but I'll have things to discuss about 'em soon enough. I can't put it off any longer.

Its a bit mixed up in the way that this has happened:

-met his fans
-met him
-joined his fan club
-then read his books

Funny, right?

But let me say that SRD has some really super readers out there. I had an great time in Albuquerque with you. I won't forget it! You're ALL tops in my book!
Welcome, Hildegaard na-Mhoram--enjoy the books!

Be Welcome to the Watch, Hildegaard na-Mhoram (may I shorten that to Hn-M? Or can I get away with Philly?)
Be Well Come and True.

pshaw.

Just like on the Hangar, there are plenty of topics here to interact in outside of topics about SRD. Jump in anywhere. :)

What a dork I am for not thinking to bid you welcome HNM, it's just you're less than two feet from me as I type this...

No we're not. We're a literary forum. We spend as much time complaining about SRD as we do praising him. ;)

Welcome to the Watch Llyns_Lillianrill. Look around, join in. :D

I stand corrected.

Thanks for your greetings, Watchers. I'm gonna crack open Lord Foul's Bane now.

Muah!

Welcome to the Watch, Hilde!

By all means, do read the books, but don't be overly concerned about those who try to tell you it is a prerequisite for being a member-in-good-standing. There are many who are quite active here without ever having opened an SRD novel. They hang out in places like Gravin Threndor and style themselves as "purists." They have no idea what they are missing, but they have the right to their choice...

Perhaps...but they leave Gravin Threndor only under sufferance.

Thanks, Savor Dam ^^

I have an inkling of what I'm missing-- that's why I'm reading Lord Foul's Bane right now.

Phyllis is asleep... that's Nina Hagen, but after I'd seen it a few times, I thought it was Sandra Bernhard too... I was right the first time, but they look very similar-- at least in that pic.

MrsNull posted in The Galley long before I became mod there.
I look forward to her return!

Be Welcome to the Watch, Llyns Lillianrill (soon to be shortened to LL, I assume).
