Just theory, but, I can't think of a reason to believe Ben didn't want to prevent Sayid and the Kwons from seeing a view that revealed something he wanted kept hidden.

i got from the statement that he wanted the boat for something he was up to. and how did the others not know the boat existed in the first place? they seem limited in some repects and supernatural in others.

One of 'The Others' says something along he lines of ''They could find this place.'' When she is told about sayid having a boat.
I'll watch it again and get an exact quote.
The guy who used to be the partner in the hatch should definatley know abut it. However, he might hav just not known said, etc had it.

They look similar anyway.

Yea i knew he was the bearded guy, but i though he was also desmonds partner. Hmm.
I somehow though he didnt die when desmond thought he did, then he joined the others.

Well, i had another look, they are not the same person, so thats my theory destroyed.
However is Kelvin ( desmonds partner ) the same guy who helped sayid in iraq?

By the way, the actor who plays Kelvin (Clancy Brown) is also the voice of Mr. Crabs on Spongebob.

Interesting: He's credited as "Kelvin Inman" for Desmond's episode, and "Joe Inman" for Sayid's.

I haven't had a chance to watch it yet, but there is supposedly a connections graph on the DVD S2 Special Features.
Also, think there is a connections graph on the ABC LOST site.

Great episode, and i cant belive the ending!

I just caught the trailer for next weeks episode!!!!!
Is next weeks (episode 6) really the season finale????
6 Episodes is rediculous if it is.
