I agree. Despite their concentrated power in Elemesndene, the Elohim seemed capable of accomplishing almost anything throughout the Land--especially if it was of interest or benfit to them. Despite being fettered by the strict word of the Elohim, Findail pulled off some pretty amazing things during his travels with TC and the rest. If I'm not mistaken, he could've done much more, but his hands were tied by the laws of the Elohim.Fist and Faith wrote:I imagine the Elohim could do most anything they set their minds to. I doubt this idea would be a challenge to them at all.

Hey Fist!

And I believe in you
altho you never asked me too
I will remember you
and what life put you thru.
~fly fly little wing, fly where only angels sing~
~this world was never meant for one as beautiful as you~
...for then I could fly away and be at rest. Sweet rest, Mom. We all love and miss you.

Actually, I thought it was funny, bordering on hysterical. I had just responded to you, and was in the debating mindset. When I read Tulizar, it was like in the movies. "Oh yeah? Well let me tell you someth... Oh. Wait... You agree with me?"

Why'd you bump something 1 hour and 34 minutes after the last post?? Was my last post soooooooo brilliant that you wanted to make sure nobody missed it?
Actually, it's from a very old MTV commercial. I think Billy Idle said it.

Stone and Sea! Wished that I found this site much much earlier. The threads and resulting discussions are wonderous to behold.
Sunder would've made a good Lord. But recall that he is (now) a twice bereved man. Losing TWO wives and TWO sons to the curse that is/was called the Sunbane and the Clave. He did not want to leave Adelinane <sic> because he probably just couldn't bear the thought of possibly going through that again.
That he was a noble being is undisputed imo. SRD wrote him so well that when I read some of his quotes posted by some of you, I got choked up all over again. Consider this also that Sunder mayhap been uneducated growing up in the Stonedown and yet still so elegant with his discourse and expressing of himself.
But during Post Sunbane times would there have even been a need for a council of Lords?
LA healed the land and restored it. All that would be left to do is to make sure that it would never happen again... at least not in their lifetimes.
Imagine, a whole world of people having to remake their entire existence.
That'll probably will be us after our third world war.
Amazing also that Foul managed to pull off what our own Satan managed to do. "The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world that he didn't exist." Al Pacino in The Devil's Advocate.

Do we need a new council of Lords? Excellent question, Seafoam! The council of lords eventually led to the Clave, perhaps in a similar manner that Kevin's Lore can lead to the Rituald of Desecration. Perhaps there is a better way. Could we see a democratic Land, perhaps?
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”
