I always hate the beginnnings to those books. I just want to skip to the Hogwarts part!!!
300 pages and still no death... or even a hint!
Well, I have 3 guesses as to who could die.
1.)
Hagrid
2.)
Cho
3.)
Dumbledore (of course he's got to be one)
I'll see if I'm right soon enough I guess..
I noticed a couple things though. Does there seem to be more british slang in these then in the rest? Sure seems like that to me. I also think that
Ron's becoming keeper
is far too conveinant.
There were others, I will remember and post the later.

Too bad Harry's vision in the Mirror of Erised can't come true. I have a feeling if he looked into the mirror now, he'd see one more person standing along with his parents...

I kind of expected it to be Sirius, actually - at least after the first 200 pages or so. And when Harry saw the fake vision of him being tortured, I was sure that was it. But it threw me when Sirius came charging in with the other members of the Order. So when he did die, I wasn't expecting it.
I think JKR did a really good job of making the reader feel exactly what Harry was feeling after Sirius's death. Right after it happened, all I felt was disbelief, and it was only later that it began to sink in - just as it began to sink in for Harry. That was very well done.

Well I'm not done with the book but I was thinking...
Since Harry can feel Voldemort's emotions, then maybe they are related. Like he was James's brother? They must have some greater connection then just the scar, right?
