As usual, I'm catching up on the April Fool's pranks late.

At least this time, the gag was still up when I heard about it....
Laughed my butt off. "Craptastic" was my favorite part. No, wait -- the "heh" was my favorite part.

Awesome job, Romeo.
You had me going until you said "I have the page set up to automatically provide the link". That would take programming skills.

Them's webmaster FIGHTING words!!

Actually, doing that was very easy and straight forward (if the system date is on or after 9 April 2007, show the link - otherwise show the "begin reading ..." text). Much easier (or at least shorter) than the countdown script.
So - who's going to stay up until midnight tonight (Eastern US time - that's where the server is located) to get the preview? I'm sure Jay isn't, though, since he already has a copy.

I wasn't going to, as I usually crash out early. But since Beorn and I won't be back from services and dinner until at least 11:00 PM, I may just go ahead and stay up for it.

Oh man, how tempting! My dilemma is twofold: 1) staying up that late; 2) kicking MagickMaker off the computer at midnight. Hey, wait, it's a school night -- #2 should be a piece of cake! (Yeah, right....)

I did, and Romeo, you're cruel.

HAHAHAHAHA!
I finally got to read this, complete genious.
Linden gasped, "Gasp!"
Best line ever.

Heh, thanks. Glad you enjoyed.
It looks like after all of Romeo's big talk, I was right about only two things:
1. The Master who tried to stop Linden from going down to the gates. That was kind of funny.
2. The complete and utter uselessness of Linden. Come on, do I know how to write Linden, or do I know how to write Linden? Heh.

You definitely know how to write Linden! And I still like your version better.
Now all we're going to get from her is MORE COMPLAINING. Now instead of stopping to think, she'll stop to mope and whine. Oh, wait, she already did that anyway...

Sorry - someone else put me up to the joke on the jokester.

But it was a GREAT chapter, Jay! Very well done!!
For the record (just to be as clear as possible), SRD did *not* (to my knowledge) see the joke chapter, and did *not* get mad for any reason. And Jay did *not* have an advance copy of the preview chapter.

So it's up to each person to decide how close the joke one is to the real thing.

I don't know if I should say. But I can assure you that although I executed the counter-joke, I most certainly didn't create it.

Bah!
I didn't think you were serious. But I am still curious about what SRD would think about my joke.
The Bum, Romeo wrote:SRD did *not* (to my knowledge) see the joke chapter, and did *not* get mad for any reason
It'd be hard for him to get mad in that case, heh.

How about, you tell me, or I ban you.

I really don't want to Create a ruckus. And besides - Paul and Mary would be bummed if they found out they weren't included in the joke.
