dANdeLION wrote:I agree; there is no Yes without Squire. Still, they did get Tony Levin to play bass on that album, and Levin's the man.
Yea. I was really disappointed that Levin got sick before the tour got to California. Jeff Berlin is a great jazz fusion bassist, and I give him major credit for learning all the songs in like one day, but he doesn't have the heaviness that Levin or Squire bring. Wish they'd released one of the Levin shows as "An Evening of Yes Music Plus" instead of the one from Shoreline w/ Berlin. Levin also has some great parts on the ABWH tracks on Union where he's mixed more clearly (especially "I Would Have Waited Forever")
I like Drama, but it is different w/out Jon. "Run Through the Light" is really cool, too. I love the jam parts near the end that seem much less composed than typical Yes.

I am a camera. Cam-er-a. Cam-er-a.
god I hate that song...
Actually, not a bad "tune", but the vocals don't do the slightly "iffy" lyrics any favours ...

I was listening to the album "Open Your Eyes" last night.
Wow, I was impressed at how much I actually like this album. It is well composed and the lyrics are amazing. The music is thoughtful and not overly done (I LIKE overdone music, however this is done very well).
I have a couple tunes rolling in my head still!...
Have to have more listens....

BUMP-sorry the vids have been compromised...
I can however offer the incredible Drama song
Tempest Fugit with Trevor Horn.

Anyone familiar with
Flash?
YES's pre-Howe founding guitarist Peter Banks teams up with Tony Kaye for a slightly jazzier, slightly less formal "progressive rock" sound.

heh.
Freak you out in a good way, I hope.

You're not a bass player too by any chance, are you dAN?
That red bordered CD is a compilation of their first and third albums, correct? I wonder why they skipped
Flash's second album?
I haven't heard the whole of their first album in a long time. In my teens I was in a garage band. We couldn't hack
Small Beginnings, so we settled for playing
Children of the Universe, which we could borderline handle.
One of these days I'm going to pick that CD up, as I'd really love to hear
Dreams of Heaven again.

This will be interesting...
You need to check some of the more recent posts in the Concerts thread, Demondim-spawn.
OK...
...so in this case, dAN is Demondim-spawn.
*shakes head*
...yet another dANdeLION alt...
I should have known...

Okay, I refuse to be suprised by this stuff anymore. Yeah, I play bass in a band aTOMiC fronts. There's some video clips of our performance last Friday in the Concert thread. My Flash is just the first album. I never got the 2nd or 3rd albums. I just happened to find this one when looking for something else entirely. When I saw Peter Banks and Tony Kaye were on it, I knew I was going to buy it. I don't think Tony's on any of the other ones, so I haven't really looked for them.

While I've enjoyed the few episodes of House I've seen, I'm not much of a TV watcher.
Who is who's clone? My DOB is 10/23/55.

Well, probably not...
...up until you called Waddley a
he.
Here she is, showing her tatoo to SRD at the 2007 elohimfest in Albuquerque...

And a picture showing all her in all her beauty.
She's just as beautiful on the inside, too.

(Yes Cail, I know. The Queen of THOOOTP strikes again. You will forgive me since this post links to pictures of Waddley though, right?)
So, back on topic...
Demondim-spawn wrote:BTW, anyone here listen to old King Crimson, Peter Gabriel era Genesis, Gentle Giant?
Yes on King Crimson through
Lizard and Peter Gabriel-era Genesis.
