well, i can understand a lack of availability of peeps. i mean would anybody want a peep this very moment? i doubt it. but cameraman Loki hiding the Ivory? that's rotten. now i've got to wait until i get back from my camping weekend. i feel this experiment will never be completed.

Honestly, I didn't hide the soap. I think it got accidentally left at the safeway. I realize that any attempt to stop this event is futile so I have bowed to the inevitable and even paid for the ivory folks.

I even went so far as to buy BGB another batch of Ivory. I think today is probably the day.

Sooo. . . what happened with the Ivory, BGB? Inquiring minds want to know. . .

The experiment began at 12:00 after opening two 3oz. bars of Ivory soap supplied by Cameraman Jenn. After making sure animals were safely locked in cages or chewing bones in other rooms I placed the Ivory on a microwave safe plate and placed it in the 1250 watt device...

and set the timer for 2 minutes.
The soap began to diplay movement almost instantly in the form of growing bubbley tenticles wich formed into one mass while still showing movement. The fate of Canada in the movie "AKIRA" came to mind.
After noticing a rather strong smell resembling microwaved soap I halted the experiment 24 seconds shy of 2 minutes seeing the following result.

Then I of course had to do the experiment over again for documentation purposes and for the fun of it.

On the calendar was a third experiment including cutting up or grating the soap to increase the surface area and, it is assumed, shorten the cooking time but this was cancelled due to moderate to severe dizziness and nausea secondary to cooked soap fume inhalation.
One is left wondering,though, if we were closer to Easter could we have seen Ivory soap and Peeps dance together in a searing hot, radioactive Red River Jig? Only next April can tell.

All I can say is it better NOT still stink when I get home.
