When I see a fellow Watcher has been bidding for an item, I stay away. But not peter_percell. If he sees that a fellow watcher had been bidding on an item all day and in sixty seconds will win it at a reasonable price, he says, so what if I just went to Elohimfest with him, I can steal this one. And comes in with the thirty-second-left (and first) bid.
Then you come in here and call that watcher a rat. Not your finest display of integrity all around.

I'll assume that was joking tone, because that was pretty damn funny.

Nope. Dead serious.
The insult-added-to-the-injury is when he comes onto the board with the pre-emptive lie. "I think Wayfriend was bidding against me." Pah. My e-bay name is way-friend. And he never had a bid on the board until the very end.
I don't think I've been clear. So I'll post one last post.
Losing a bid on e-bay is meaningless. When someone you know goes cut-throat on you with no fair warning -- heck, I chalk that up to having a different view of integrity. But what's up with coming onto this board and telling everyone I did something that I didn't do (but which you did) and then calling me a rat for doing it?
So please don't walk away under the impression that I don't think you're some kind of jerk.

I was joking ... so GET OVER IT ... or not ... I don't care. And I don't care whether you think I am a jerk or not.

BTW, for anyone interested ... our complaining Wayfriend (who did NOT post and ask no one to challenge him) would have lost to altracey01 - by 10 GBP even if I had not gone over.

Talking about "integrity" when auctioning for contrabande, the existence of which is clearly detrimental to the authors revenue, strikes me as more than just a bit hypocritical, if you don't mind.
Or perhaps it's some kind of Pirates Code????

Ha! Good one.
Not to mention that there was nothing contrary to Ebay's policies in Peter's bidding.
