As much as Haruchai are able, I regret that we are so rigid as to make us less desirable as travelling companions. As I just said elsewhere, the idea is intriguing. But some have valued our presence because of our inflexibility. Which is nothing but an expression of the purity of our beliefs. I hope you can become one of them.

I mean, when you act up on my ship, you have to find the com unit in the vents. No one has found it yet. If one of your people finds it, then more power to him!
Paragraph 5, subparagraph 12, clearly states that no genetic engineering will take place on an unwilling subject. If you don't abide by that law, you have to put up with a chip in your neck for 3 years. Just ask Jensen! He'll tell ya!

The com unit in the vents. We have com units everywhere, all over the fregmekking ship. There's one in the vents, in case of emergency. Dunno why Roke insisted on 'em there. The things are big enough for a person to walk in. Yes, we can talk to each other wherever we are on the ship.
