Hey! Just an update. Spoke with the teacher and she said this would go on through at least December and maybe longer b/c of the great response she's been getting. MalikJr will get the postcards after the project is done. When I was with the teacher on Friday, she had her mail with a Spidey card.

Why does that make me all weepy? I think it would be interesting if malikjr lined up the postcards and took a pic. I am so glad this project is turning out great.

Cuz you are a sweetie. It makes me a little weepy too to think of all the people here who participated in this with us. And it has meant so much to Malik Jr. We'll be sure to take a pic of his postcard collection and post it.

Here's a pic I took on Friday with my phone so it's not as good a shot as I will have later.
The teacher also said she needed to get a bigger map.

They are gonna have to resort to some sort of colored pin system.

How would you get pins to stick in that concrete wall?

Cork boards for the maps! Sheesh dAN. Don't you know nuffink?

I know that cork is duller than a pin, so you won't be able to stick it in concrete, either.

I really don't think she thought she get as big of a response as she's been getting so she's definitely trying to think of better ways to display the cards with the maps. She definitely seemed excited at the prospect of getting more from other countries and I said that you all were coming through for her there.
Thanks Avatar!!!!!

I'm pretty sure you can buy cork board right here in the good ole' US of A, Ki.

OMG! Really? Wonder what kind of store would carry this so-called "cork board" you claim exists right here in the USA?
I'm sure the teacher knows of those and will no doubt do something like that. It's her project; I'm not going to tell her how to do it. But, when we get Malik Jr's cards to bring home, I am going to have a scrapbook with sleeves so he can look at the fronts and backs. What do you think? I am not very creative, seriously....willing and open to suggestions.

That actually sounds like a good plan. I didn't specify MalikJr, I don't think so will he know which postcards are from his fanbase?

Well, since it'd be put on the wall, I'd suggest Wal-Mart.

Is it lighter than a duck? If so, then yes, it's a witch and must be burned immediately. That might make it difficult to use for the map project though.

Nah, it'd still work. Unless it's been turned into a newt.

Some did put Luke's name on them so he'll get those but I guess not the ones without his name. No biggie. That's just a perk of the project anyway. I wish the teacher had said from the beginning that the kids would get the postcards after the project was finished. But, oh well....
Hey DAN--I didn't mean to sound like such a smartass. I just re-read my post and I was trying to be funny but I sounded flippant. So, I apologize for that.
