Well gee, Avatar, if there's a better way to insure that the sun rises tomorrow without human blood sacrifice, I haven't heard of it.

I'd like to think that Pagans are much more capable of evolving than certain other groups...

Nah, they're just as capable as any other human being.

No group has a monopoly on potential.

True, but I think we should learn the term for the opposite of potential, in case we need to use it on the more stubborn groups.

See, for Neopagans, that's just one of the advantages of admitting that your religion *hasn't* been around for millennia...

Tell me what you're thinking...
Ricky Gervais wrote:...I have seen such cruelty and prejudice performed in the name of Christianity (and many other religions for that matter) that it makes me wonder if there has been a bit too much selective reading and reinterpretation of the doctrines.
He's got a point here. A really really useful point.
Of course Gervais
is a self proclaimed Atheist (once again, for the record I'm not) however this blog, letter or article by him make interesting cases and is definately thought provoking and funny (I know no humor in Spirituality right?):
Why I'm a Good Christian
Looked at that link... he had an especially good point about the "taking God's name in vain" commandment.
But in some ways that "Why I'm a good Christian" post seems equal to "Why I don't need to be a Christian." (which may very well have been his point!) What do you think?
I just kept thinking that Christianity is meant for the people who need redeeming.

I agree with that, y'know. It has many potentially positive qualities that can help in many ways.
Maybe people who don't need redemption
don't need to be Christians?

Or, as the bumper sticker says,
