On the boxer shorts suggestions, how about "That, I will not suffer"??
pfft!! LOL .. oh hehe .. this thread has taken a delectably hillarious turn

..
mmm .. I'd get into a mouse-pad .. defintely!!

.. there are certain benefits to this idea ..
1. dont have to change it daily or your definition of 'reguarly' dependant upon individual standards of hygene

[re: t-shirts .. but yeah the same goes for the underwear idea

.. but I am primarily making comparisons with the T's

]
2. keeping it clean is easier than waiting for whoever it is that does the wash to get around to washing and ironing it
3. after a while you may get sick of wearing the same T [assuming you dont get a wardrobe of them .. you know one for each day] ..but the mouse-pad lives on by the mouse ever reminiscent of your love for the Chronicles of TC ..
4. unless you are really silly .. less likely to spill your food on a mouse-pad .. [cos no one here is irresponsible enough to eat .. or .. umm .. drink at the comp ... and even if there is someone out there silly enough to do this .. spills will usually occur on your monitor/keyboard or fall into your lap!! giving you that .. oh no I look like I just pee'd myself look .. that I just personally wouldnt have any experience in knowing about ..
5. sure you cant wear your mouse-pad 'out' as you can a T .. [re: when you go 'out'] .. unless you are creative enough to find a place you can wear it and it wont fall off

..
and I am sure there are other advantages to a mouse-pad .. personally I would vote for both a shirt and a mouse-pad .. mmm .. thus one can enjoy the best of both worlds ..

How about:
"I shall not rest until I have eradicated hope from the Earth. Think on that and be dismayed!"
or just:
"Think on that and be dismayed!"
or maybe the message to the Lords:
"Say to the Council of Lords, and to High Lord Prothall son of Dwillian, that the uttermost limit of their span of days upon the Land is seven times seven years from this present time. Before the end of those days are numbered, I will have the command of life and death in my hand. And as a token that what I say is the one word of truth, tell them this: Drool Rockworm, Cavewight of Mount Thunder, has found the Staff of Law,which was lost ten times a hundred years ago by Kevin at the Ritual of Desecration. Say yo them that the appointed task of their generation is to regain the Staff. Without it, they will not be able to resist me for seven years, and my complete victory will be achieved six times seven years earlier than than it would be else."

I like almost all of them. Here's my contributions though..
"To save or damn"
"By the Seven..."
"Got Clingor?"
Jay - set up a poll, lets vote! I can't wait to get my T! Shoot, if we had time I'd even buy them for my family for Christmas.

If I was going to pick anything straight out of the books, it would have to be "Joy is in the ears that hear, not in the mouth that speaks." Wordy, but it'd make people think.

If you were going to use straight down the line quotes, I reckon the whole 'responsibility of the living to give meaning to the lives of the dead' thingy gets my vote.

Arg! So many choices!!! I shouldn't have asked for ideas

.
Anyway, let me think for the best way to do this. The main issue now is that we will only be able to use a few of the phrases. Meaning a lot less the the number we have now. Also, we may want to avoid picking unique phrases that are directly from the series for now (like the 7 words?), if only because of copyright issues. I donno if SRD would want us putting his more artful phrases on a t-shirt. Maybe we'll actually get around to asking him one day... Heh. So what we need to do is pick the top, I donno, lets just say 5 phrases that you all like and would actually want to buy. I guess the best way to do so would be to set up a poll. Because if I keep letting you throw out new ideas, we'll never get this done.

. The one that I know I want to keep is "100% Unbeliever" mainly since 1) People seem to like it 2) We already have a few design pictures up and 3) I came up with the idea

. I'd also like to do something involving "I'm a leper. Don't touch me." Just because I think it would be funny on a t-shirt. But maybe I'll just put that one in the vote. So give me a little time to work my way through all of these ideas and put the good, original phrases into a poll.
Oh, another issue is the products. As you can see from the links that Vain posted, we have a lot of options. I think that we should stick mainly with the t-shirts to start out with, only because it's simplier. But if you all would want to buy a mug or mousepad with a Covenant phrase on it, then just post your support and maybe we'll add that to the product list. But your input is good, since you all are who all of this is for in the first place.

. Well, and me too. I want a shirt.

I agree you'll be best off offering a poll with a shortlist on it.
Fair enough not using direct quotes!
