I've noticed that with SRD, seeming continuity errors are often addressed later. He sets things up well in advance...
I noticed that too! ;)

But wrapping them up twenty years later, for any reason, to me at least, shows that while some might be 'intended openings', most are actually 'gaping holes'.

No freaking way would I cut him a break. You don't come back to one of the most influencial fantasy works of all-time twenty years later and expect 'a break' from die-hard fans! That's ridiculous. Man, up. He needs to do his homework. Some small mistakes ARE bound to happen, but not as many as he has made.

The better the writer, the better the work, the more I expect and the more scrutiny I'll give it. Do we really want George Lucas the 2nd, here?

(oh, damn, soryy...lthat might have been going too far)

It was more a question of whether the Worm, Tree and Earthpower are sentient. It 'spoke' to Berek, I assume it 'gave' Berek the lillianrill and Staff. It was more an opening to that thread-0-thinking.[/i]
Then when this series is done, no doubt you, sir, will be able to provide us with a complete list of all his "continuity errors" for us to see and review. I'll mark it on my calendar.

:D TC has to take most of the blame because of the rape and he also used Elena to take the burden from him by trying to help her find the 7th ward,

Lena gets 3% just for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Elena takes 26% because she offered herself to her FATHER!!! Gag..wretch...

Joan Gets 23% for not supporting TC, when he needed it...and so born was the Despiser. if you believe that whole "its all part of TCs subconscious" which i dont.

 :P  ;)

Damn right.
Here's the date: 0/0/'00

See...the Chrons is like the Godfathers for me...in the end the third film was good, it just wasn't anything close to the first two...and in the same Vain  I'm sure the Last Chrons will turn out decent, just not on the same level.

I don't dissect the third Godfather because I don't hold in the same regard as the first two.

I think the latter pages of this thread got way far afield from the original.
Wanted to say early on that if Covenant doesn't rape Lena, the land doesn't get saved. Foul doesn't escape, the whole earth is ruined, but Foul is stuck there gnawing on his own hatred, not dimished, but not enough to break the arch.
The whole point of this was for Covenant to become guilty, so that he could be effective. Effective for good. As his post-leprosy novels posit. Very telling, that.
Do, or do not. There is no try.
