Bloodguard= African, to me at least
They weren't that dark and they were shorter than most africans. Not to mention Asians fit the fighting style better. (usually)

They're described as looking essentially like Stonedowners...

Not to mention the fact that Africans have no tradition of bare-handed fighting.

To me, Asiastic features doesnt go with the Flat features of the Haruchia.

I'd say Ron Perlman or Richard Moll for the Giant Ravers. Or Clancy Brown (the Kurgan in Highlander).

Christopher Walken for Lord Foul. Walken is scary.

I find that a lot of the actors mentioned, although extremely talented, might be considered too old to play Covenant, considering his age in the First Chronicles(which I believe was 35).
I know for this forum that doesn't particularly matter.
But keeping in line with what Covenants age would have been, I am wondering if anyone has seen Hidalgo? I know what you are thinking... Aragorn, LOTR what a rip off!!...
But I am not suggesting Aragorn, I am suggesting Viggo. He is around the right age, and although not gaunt, he is quite lean. In Hidalgo he played the perfect part of a man who had nothing left to live for, and was letting his life slowly go, but eventually found a purpose for it again, and fought with all his strength. He is an excellent actor, and physically(at least from Hidalgo and his new movie "A Hisorty of Violence") resembles what I see in my head as TC.
Any other thoughts?

Personally, I took "flat features" to mean expression more than the actual physical features themselves.

Oh, and to Brinn18:

I still stand by Hugh Laurie. A little touchup here and there, and I think he could convincingly play someone under 40, and then for the Second Chronicles, he would already be the right age.

I think Viggo is a little to "pretty." I don't mean that in any way other than that he is too classically handsome. But that's just my opinion. (He was totally hot as Aragorn...)

Nah, I've always pictured the Haruchai to be more Korean-like.

I'm curious - what exactly do you mean by 'African'? Do you have a particular nationality/tribe/skin-colour in mind?

Perhaps what im saying is they are anything but asiacstic - forgive the crude and rather general statement classinfing all asians this way - but i have never seen the Haruchia with asiastic eyes, also i always imagined then as black skinned, which was what led me to describe them as african.

suddewnly im not so sure that they are african... ;)
