I wouldn't be surprised if the Free Diablo has alot of former Guild Wars Players.
The Game is getting kind of boring now and a lot of players are leaving for new and more excitiing games.

I uninstalled GW F after a week or so of play. It's really just a 3d diablo. Yawn.Warmark wrote:I wouldn't be surprised if the Free Diablo has alot of former Guild Wars Players.

If you go around just hacking and slashing everything around you yes. It is just a 3d diablo. But if you actually take 10 minutes to look at all the skill sets and all the possibilities, it's amazing how skill-based it is, something that D2 rarely ever was. The GvG fights are very tactical. Every ability has a counter ability, and the fact that you have two skill sets to dink around in create a lot of possibilities.Loremaster wrote:I uninstalled GW F after a week or so of play. Of course, not everyone wants to put work into their games. And that's cool too... but those are the reasons I like the game.

Who said I never wanted to put work into my games? I know all about the skill sets, I bought the game with full knowledge about them, but really let's not kid ourselves; GW is just a complex version of Quake 3. I'm into RPGs - so yes that means skill sets. But the world of GW is rather limited. I'd rather there was more than just the skills and pvp - you really cant interact with the world.Waddley Hasselhoff wrote:Of course, not everyone wants to put work into their games. I've been playing Guild Wars for a few years now. Been in a serious hiatus for a few months, tho.... I've been playing with a few folks from my FPS clan; that is, the ones that didn't get sucked into WoW and leave the clan to start a WoW guild. I've all the expansions, Factions, Nightfall, and Eye of the North.
A lot of people PLAY it like a PvM game. Sure, you can make Roleplaying characters, of straight PvP characters. However, the thing that people seem to forget is that Guild Wars is a PVP game, it's core design was around arena based PvP.... the storylines are completely optional and independent.
I haven't been into GvG battles at all, rather, we've been concentrating on the 12v12 faction battles (Luxons, baby!) Those are fun!
If anyone still plays this game, add me to yer friends list. The name is "Sweet Bred"
