IMHO, the main reason why Crash won Best Picture is because overall, there weren't very many good movies last year. Personally, I would've given the Oscar to Capote.

I must admit, I haven't felt compelled to watch Crash again since my first viewing. The more I think about it, the more heavy-handed it seems in my mind now...but still far, far from being "completely" worthless. However, I thought Munich deserved Best Picture. (Even though, in dlb's estimation, it's a carbon copy of another movie.)
