 I think I'll be needing to, er, search through the memberlist to find all the ones I've created. (Only six or seven at most... *innocent look*)

DON'T DELETE Foamfollower1013.

She still wants to be a member of KW, even though she's been too busy with school to post much lately.

(We just - finally - ordered Runes, so she'll probably be around this summer to discuss it. :D)

Well, everyone who had zero posts from January of 2004 and back is gone, hence the member count going backwards. Our biggest offenders seem to be recent registrants, though. The duplicate accounts don't account for much at all, despite that so many active members have them.

Cool. About how many were deleted, anyway?

Maybe we can delete people with only 1 post, too?-jay

I don't know, but there are still 443 Zero-posters left.

If you were to remove the 0 and 1 posters who have been here over a month, you'd be deleting 592 of the 1315 members.

Actually I kinda agree with dAN on this. Jan 04 was probably a little early for a cut-off point. September, perhaps? Or maybe just June, so they go a year back?

Yeah, I'm kind of thinking the same thing. I think we only got about a hundred last time.

Maybe we ought to post something to the effect that if you don't post within x number of months, you get deleted, so that people who come here on a whim are encouraged to return. Sound like a good idea?

Why bother even mentioning it? You can't encourage a person who only comes by once to come by again after they've left.

On the other hand, there is the possibility that one-time posters do stick around, even though they don't make any more posts.

As in 'lurkers'. :)

... which I personally don't have a problem with.

I agree with Murrin (although I'm not a Mod..yet :D ).
I know of one member, Pitchdude, who almost never posts, but visits every couple of weeks.

Don't the Admins have the home email accounts of all members (presuming they use real emails accounts)-could a generic email be sent out to those who have never posted, asking if they want to keep their account current?

Theoretically, yes, but I'd rather leave that to Vain. Anyway, most of the people who've never posted will probably not care, won't remember their password, or whatever. I'd rather just delete the older zero-post accounts and not worry about it.

You're awfully eager to delete people, dAN. Is there something in your shady past you're trying to hide? ;)

Dennis, you're number 21 on the white gold dollar list.
You know that's not bad, you're only 18 spots behind SRD.
