**Another stealing liquor from Church confession**

Before my dad actually became a minister, he was still very involved in the Church; and he use to Bartend the wedding receptions there.

He used to store the liquor in our basement.

...I think you can tell where this is going.

I used to take bottles of pop, dump half of them out, and fill the back up with whatever was handy and take them to school, and share them with whoever.

Of course I did the whole fill-the-bottle-back-up-with-water trick.

By the end of the wedding season, I doubt if ANYone even caught a buzz off my dad's rum flavored water!
I thought you were a ripe grape
a cabernet sauvignon
a bottle in the cellar
the kind you keep for a really long time

Peter? I never would have guessed.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

I would've voted for Nixon in his second term, if I'd been old enough to vote then.

I remember that election. My 2nd grade teacher had our class vote. She made it seem McGovern was the only option; obviously I can't remember the details, but I remember she hated Nixon.

I haven't actually bought Splenda or Equal sweetener in 15 years. I just fill up my pockets every once in a while from self service fast food places.

My grandfather was a pack rat and never threw anything away. I have spent the last 2 days hauling all of it to the dump or scrapyard (lots of brass and copper). I feel a mixture of sadness and "haha pappy, I'm throwing away all that old shit that we told you that you would never use and you should have gotten rid of to start with."

Hahaha, you're wrong, the joke is on you. ;) If he had, it would have been him hauling it out. But now it's your job.

Last night, I bought Monty Python Sings from the Amazon MP3 store.
