Well, just got off my lazy ass and looked it up Apocalypto is going to be released in December, contrary to this Summer as the trailer on Annapolis indicated. It's about the mysterious downfall and disapearance of the Mayan Empire. It really looks freakin' cool!

I really want to see Scorsese's The Departed. Never seen a Scorsese film i theaters, and I sorely need to remedy that. Plus, this one looks to be right up there with his last masterpiece, The Aviator. Rave reviews across the board and all that. Might go tonight.

Trailer Park Boys looks awesome...But I think you'd have to see a few episodes of the TV show to really appriciate the humour.

the TPB's are awesome. Mike Smith (AKA Bubbles) just opeend up a bar in Hali (appropriatly called Bubbles Place)-complete with an 8*8 foot mural of himslef petting one of his kitties, and with shopping carts hanging from the ceiling.
I've deilvered to JP Trembley (Julien) a few times, and other than his dog trying to bite me, he's really down to earth.

I was mistaken for one of the cast of TPB the other week. Clearly the bloke who approached me hadn't bothered to ask himself why a Canadian TV actor would be in a student bar in a secluded corner of Wales.

I don't know who he thought I was though. I've only seen one episode.

I've only seen a couple of episodes myself. I can see TPB is a funny show, but for whatever reason I just never got into it.

So...anyone seeing Casino Royale featuring the new, blonde Bond? Does anyone care?

I like Daniel Craig and am excited about the movie. However I will reserve judgment on whether he makes a good "Bond" until after.

I liked Timothy Dalton ... as a secret agent -- another 00 agent, just NOT Bond...

And blond hair aint got nothing to do with it.... Craig has the potential to be another Connery type Bond...

I don't care what Bond looks like, as long as the writing is good. I thought Brosnan was an excellent choice, but the films were weak, weak, weak.

One review I've read suggests the film is a little confused when it comes to the issue of it being about Bond's first mission:

I'm quite happy for Bond to live in a continuous present, but the time frame of the film is perplexing. After the grainy Fifties Prague opening, there is the predictable Seventies, Whicker's World rush of destinations, taking in Uganda, Madagascar, the Bahamas and Venice, while Bond, who we are presumably supposed to believe we have never come across before, suggests from time to time that he is in 2006. Judi Dench as M, seems more than usually unsure about the wisdom of her role or which era she's in.
